Yeah, was just talking about how much I look forward to the yearly review fests that are going to show up between now and the end of October.

I must have gotten a bad one? Mine was garbage. After 20K miles all it did was "hiccup". Total piece of crap. Hesitated long enough to smoke a cigar, flipped around between gears for no reason. Just junk. I'm pretty sure had I kept the car it was headed in for a warranty tranny job. Basically the same as every other GM auto trans I've owned. Maybe that A10 will be the "the one"

"Holden needs another crossover? Just ship over Acadia."

"But sir it needs a Holden badge."

"Well just rip off the GMC badge and glue a Holden badge on."

"But sir..."

"JUST DO IT."

If you hadn't said anything, I would never have known that the Holden badge didn't belong on that grill.

You must have bad luck with getting a hold of bad examples of GM automatics especially since most of my cars since the late 60's were mostly GM automatics with no failures or problems at all. My one import car was also equipped with a GM automatic, BMW 525, and the transmission was the most cost efficient thing on that car believe you me. I usually put high miles on my cars and trucks so I'm not a low mileage trade them in kinda guy.

GM has had some issues especially the early 700R's from the early 80's which readily comes to mind but I will concede that tuning plays a big factor in what people think of with regards to if its crap or not and not just the reliability aspect of it.

I remember my trans in my 84 Monte Carlo SS started shifting crazy like going from 2 to lockup on the converter and I thought it was about to crap out on me but it turns out it was just a wire that got frayed that controlled the lockup torque convert. Good as new for less than $10.

3 GM work trucks in the 90's = 4 transmissions. I actually swore off GM products till I bought my first Gen5 in 2013. Maybe it was the tuning. Maybe I was being paranoid about it. IDK. I didn't like the A6 and it's behavior was worrying me.
