All our cars have at least one major problem after 10 years. Once that's over and done with they're usually fine. For example the Sonoma's ignition coil died last year and quit on me in the middle of driving. I'm going to keep her until student loans are paid off. Then I'll look into a Sierra. The 8 speed transmissions should be out by then.

She is just being jealous and petty. Ignore her. Lots of people have kids and have nice cars. You aren't married you can have what you want. If she says stuff like that just say I'm sorry I dont want to talk about it or frankly my personal life is none of your business.
