I10 was backed up into AZ yesterday because of a blizzard in NM. Today I40 is closed east of AZ. Tough ground travel in the middle of the US.

Some friends spent Christmas in Rocky Point, Mexico. They emailed some photos of the resort where they stayed. Looks like a nice place, and they said it was warm there. Traveling was a breeze.

Gotta get some blood drawn and an x-Ray done for my yearly kidney stone check up. I have until the end of the year.

I got an emergency DDS appt. The first available was not until 2:20 tomorrow. Hurting won't stop today. It is bearable as long as I stay medicated, just with my regular Naproxen Sodium 500 and an occasional aspirin booster...................and a bit of rum here & there. They called me in some antibiotics & offered to call in pain meds but & passed on those. Mike will pick up the antibiotics in a little while so I can get started on them. I don't hold out much hope for saving this tooth that is the most likely culprit. It is already mostly fillings. So minimally likely will need a cap. If they start talking root canal.....I think not. It is the very back tooth so I will probably just let them pull it.

Sorry to hear about your tooth Jan. I'm like you, I prefer my scotch over pain pills. Good luck tomorrow!

I had a root canal when I was in my twenties. It wasn't that bad as I recall.

Yeah, but lots of things are not too bad when you are in your twenties.

Feels weird to be up early. I have supervision this morning which is silly since school has been out &few kids seen. I opted not to take the pain med that was called in for me. I made the mistake of reading about it & it scared me off. I'll keep it around in case the pain gets unbearable. I hope they can save the tooth. I ordered some door kick plates from Apex. They are having a good sale. I'm posting from my new phone. Can I say learning curve? Have a good day all.

True. I have moved up two weight classes (not on purpose) since when I was in my twenties.

Well the news was not good at the dentist. The tooth is cracked. With over half of the top of it already fillings, the dentist was not about to try to pull it. He talked about root canal & cap as a possibility but I just don't think the tooth is worth trying to save. I have an appointment on Monday with an oral surgeon to see about getting it pulled. Until then just antibiotics, pain meds & no chewing on that side.

Hope Monday comes quickly for you. That's something I don't say everyday.

Happy New Year Gang. Here's to a safe and healthy new year!
