I did not sleep well; bad dreams, very early awakening & could not go back to sleep. I do not think I am going to handle this deployment thing well. That is all.

Thanks everyone for the thumbs up on the picture.

Jan - May God give you peace and protect your son during this time.

Trick - You are everywhere like loose crap. LOL Going to have the Nascar pool guys over to the cheese hole (car garage) for our year party to watch the race and cook steaks. The pool is based on last years 12 top drivers in points and 12 people are in the pool. 36 races a year gives everyone each drive three times a year. The driver and track is based on a random draw redrawn every 12 races. Drivers 13 and 14 in points from last year are alternates (as was the case for kurt bush and matt kenseth). Everyone pays $5.00 per race and the if your driver wins you get $50.00. The lowest finisher of the 12 drivers gets their $5.00 back and last $5.00 goes in the pot to purchase the steaks. Interesting note: only one driver outside of the top 12 in points from last year won a race this year (martin truex at Pocono). The pot rolled over to the next race and paid $100.00 the Michaigan winner.

It is snowing here this morning so winter is offically here. Richard is probably already buried in it up north.

John

John great picture of the kids , no not buried yet.

Jan safe travels to your son.

I took the company vehicle in this week and got my snow tires on as they are calling for snow all weekend . We covered up our blue spruce at the end of the driveway . I don't want it damaged by the snow . My wife will use the pickup now as her car will go into the neighbours garage till the end of feb. The tractor is ready in the garage , just setting the block heater timer now. As I write this the snow has been falling for a couple of hrs now , everything is covered. Now I have to go a load up some firewood for the wood stove.

That is great! Glad she is recuperating well.

Pics from today's event here:

I did not stay for the concert & unveiling. We arrived at 11:00 & they were not having the concert until 4:00 & unveiling at 5:00. Since I had already seen one up close & personal, I did ot feel like hanging around that long.

Good Monday Morning. It is C-C-C-Cooooooooooooooold here. 23 degrees. It is too early for this crap. The old farts must have had a busy Sunday. Hope it was a good one. Coffee time & off to another shortened work week.

Warm here! In the 70's right now.

Yes, I had a real busy Sunday. Spent hours detailing the Chevelle. Every once in a while, I have to clean under the hood and the undercarriage. Stuff gets dusty here, but no big deal.

Thanks.

While I was washing Claire's car and detailing the Chevelle, I noticed many of my neighbors putting up their Christmas decorations. I was thinking about NOT putting mine up this year, as I am usually the only house on the cul de sac to decorate. But this year, at least one other house will be done up. Now I am not the "weird" one. And some of the other houses will be done up too.
