Good evening crew. Busy day at work. Then I Went by the funeral home to see to some details of my dad's arrangements. He and my mother have had their funerals & burial arrangements made for as long as I can remember. It was weird with him being still alive, but I did not want to have to deal with stuff when he dies like I had to with my mother. It would fall to me again as my sisters just fall apart. Anyway, it is done.

Well Winter is sneaking in we hit Below frezzing last night :( And it's been a strange Fall past Monday it was 73 for the high. :( Welcome to Minnesota I'm looking forward to spending sometime in AZ this winter. ~

It's been sort of cold here in the mornings, with temps in the 40's and 50's. But we'll be warming back up again this weekend.

I'm staying at the Hyatt Regency / Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale. We have an awards dinner for our dealers Saturday night but it should end around 8:00 - 8:30. I'll try to make it over.

Another work week is behind us & thank goodness it is the weekend. I'm kind of bummed they cancelled our drag race event. I think we would have been fine tomorrow. They are saying a 40% chance of rain but if you watch the forecast maps the rain is only supposed to be in south middle Tennessee in the morning then clearing everywhere. The track is north. But they didn't consult with me & most folks don't take the time to really look at the whole forecast. So another boring Saturday. We will have a nice Sunday though. I'll spend some time with my dad then a shrimp boil at the in-laws. Have a good evening & weekend crew.

Had some excitement at the cruise in Surprise tonight. An idiot decided to leave his newer F150 smack in the middle of an aisle, running, unattended, with the hazards on while looking at cars. Not sure why the idiot ignored the plentiful open spaces, but I imagine it had something to do with feeling entitled. Anyway, a store patron in an F250 tried to go around the F150 and expressed his displeasure with the idiot. Words and threats were exchanged and someone called the police. Five cops came to diffuse the situation. They let the F250 guy go pretty quickly, but kept the idiot there for over an hour, while the idling F150 remained in the aisle, blocking cruisers that were behaving. Finally, the cops left, then the idiot left.

Sure hope the idiot does not return. He has an easily remember license plate.

Ruby Too survived her grooming but has spent the rest of the day up under my feet or on the couch demanding to be petted. I did a few chores & then sat on my butt the rest of the day. Mike cooked us a couple small steaks & back to the couch. Bored to death.

Well yesterday we had high winds and heavy rain , lots of trees falling on hydro lines and down hydro poles . At the cottage power went out sometime after 9 30 am Friday and ours never came back on till Saturday around 3pm . we bought a generator when we bought the place and until this year I only ran it to use the gas using power tools . This year we have had to use it twice. We have a wood stove for heat and you can cook on the flat top if need be . my main concern is for the fridge and freezer. my wife got out some candles and commented we could have a romantic dinner and laughed . Today I was able to get rid of the last batch of leaves that fell .
