Went to the Turkey Rod Run last year and it was unbelievably big! The Street Rod Nationals in Louisville are pretty amazing too...........what skill and art you can find.

Another cold & rainy morning. I did not sleep well. There was a rock slide near where you turn to go to our local drag strip that landed on some cars but it sounds like no injuries. Sun is not up yet so news pics are not very clear of it yet. Now they say 8 cars damaged. HAGD all.
Doesn't sound like good news, kinda like the collapse at the Corvette Museum.........sad

Hi Skip! Guess the car is up for the winter?

These are some of my favorite cars from the last year's Rod Run in Daytona. All for different reasons.........

Those are some more great pics.

Good morning. Is it the weekend yet? The rain finally stopped. However, another rainy weekend is on tap. It has been a really crappy year for rain messing up the weekends. Have a good day crew.

Kind of an era thing to me. There weren't many OEM wheel options back in the 60's & 70's. Even aftermarket wheels were pretty much limited to Keystone Classics & Cragar SS. Good luck with your choice. I'm sure they will look a lot better than the OEM wheels!

Good evening crew. I got a new company laptop today which is GREAT! I had an ancient, huge & very heavy one I had been carrying around. I am happy about that. It was a pretty good day all around. Tomorrow is going to be a challenge because I have a DDS appt early AM & won't make it to the school until around 9:15 or so and it is only a half day of school. Between them having to eat breakfast, then an early lunch with partying in-between, it will be hard to find kids to see but I need to see 6 or 7 which definitely won't happen. I'll just do the best I can.

I got a text from my older sister today. She had visited daddy with her husband. She said daddy was having a good day & that he called her husband by name (impressive) and was singing. I'm glad he can still have a good day now & then & that my sister got to have a nice visit with him.

Howdy all. Just finished reading the 2016 Camaro SS vs the Mustang GT. Great article, Motortrend Dec issue.

And the Winner Is: Camaro SS.

It's faster, louder, and overall better, especially on the track. 0-60 in 4 seconds flat, and the Qtr mile in 12.4 sec @ 114.6 mph.

The Mustange, 0-60 in 4.6 and the Qtr mile in 12.9 sec @ 110.0

The Camaro is better in the turns, 1.00 g(avg) the stang, .096 (avg) Lateral Acceleration. Figure 8 same thing.

Price: Base price the Camaro is $1,600 more. $37,295 vs $35,695 and Price as Tested: The Mustang was $8,750 More.
Camaro SS - $38,600
Mustang GT - $47,350

Very good article to read if you get a chance.

Also read an article on the 2016 Shelby. Big bucks, you supply the 2016 Mustang GT plus another 50K or 55K for the top shelf pkg. yet they said it's not as fast/good on the track as the Camaro ZL1. That made me smile.....hahaha

John - Right now I'm smoking wings and sausage for tonight. Might smoke a shoulder & ribs for tomorrow. Going to be a lot of food & adult beverages. Liver will need a rest after this weekend!
