When my Pop was alive, I used to check in with him at least every other week. Just go over and have a beer with him, ya know? But my kids.....

That totally explains their generation. A bunch of me-fors. I hear from my son at his convenience, or if he wants me to do something or go to one of my grandkids sporting events, which I usually do if I can. He's 40.

My 35 yo daughter used to call me every couple of weeks just to talk, but stopped doing that about a year ago after I lent her money to buy a van.....which she has paid back about half.

It's the way they are. Is it our fault, are we responsible for them being like this? I don't know, but you are not alone.

I never heard anything more from my daughter after I called her to tell her I would not be driving dang near to Ft Campbell. I told her I'd be home if she wanted to stop by. I hope her facial was nice. There will always be places to get facials but someday her mother will be gone. I'll call her in a while to see if she is on the way home yet to wish her safe travels.

I got the last big box of pics sorted through. Now I have to put them in chronological order & group them into 6 batches of 25 pics before sending them off. Next year we will do the videos. I also pulled out some pics for my older sister who lost most of her pics in a house fire & my younger sis who got somewhat short changed on pics of her as a child.

Mike & I are both off today & we plan to go on a cruise to trial run a club cruise Mike is planning for a couple weeks from now. Happy Friday everyone.

Jan - I couldn't agree with you more! My wife and I call it "The World According to Nicole"! She's 26 and engaged to be married next May. The new "Outlaws" to be are great people and my wife and I have a lot of respect for her fiancée. My daughter is a great kid but can be extremely demanding at times.

We moved Nicole back home until she gets married 3 weeks ago. She had a lot junk that needs to thrown away or given to Goodwill but she won't stay home long enough to tell my wife what she no longer wants or needs.

I feel your PAIN!!!

The cruise to the Henry Horton State Park went okay. Should make for a nice cruise for the club next weekend. We ate at the restaurant & it was pretty good. Only thing is the park has no nice backgrounds for taking pics but maybe we can fond a place nearby. Here is my plate from today:

What are the bean looking things?

Had a dust storm earlier and now it is raining. No cruising tonight.

You ain't from around here huh? Uh, white beans & ham. The perfect paring with fried catfish.

Rain after a dust storm can't be good. Hope your cars are inside someplace.

I haven't had a meal like that since the last time I was in Maryville-Alcoa Tennessee.

Another Old Fart

Thought I would introduce myself. 55 years young. Got a 2011 SS vert in August. My first camaro. Gonna have to put her away for the winter pretty soon now. I will be a long winter waiting for spring to get her back out. My second grandchild was born on Wednesday.

Made it home late last night from Utah. Not a bad trip, all things considered, but very glad to be home. My son didn't do so well with my absence, so I spent the day at home with him. He seems to be re-adjusting now, which is good. We took the White Car out this morning and collected some bugs . That seemed to make him happy, and it sure pleased me.

My mother used to make bean and dumpling soup. She would put ham it it too.

The Impala and Dakota sit outside. They can handle it.

Yuk. My daughter lives in Pittsburgh, will be in the 20's tonight and she may see snow this weekend. Too cold for me. Great news on your wife.

Saturday my wife's car gets all the attention and money thrown at it. Needs rear brakes and four new tires. Already bought the brake parts, so I will those tomorrow morning. This is the second set of Michelins we've bought that are giving us no where near the 55K mileage warranty they come with. At least we get a significant credit for the unrealized mileage. We'll probably select something else this time.

Supposed to rain again tomorrow, so cruising may be cancelled.
