Sorry Rick. Hope the new meds kick butt!

I got a call from my sister this AM. Looks like daddy is getting pneumonia again. They put him on antibiotics & oxygen. They said he is still eating good & seemed somewhat better after they got him up & he got some meds in him. They took x-rays but we have jot heard from them yet. The nurse said one lung sounds good & the upper part of the other sounds good but barely any sounds of air moving in the bottom. We Reeeeeeeeeally don't want him to have to go back to the hospital yet. That last time was absolutely not a good experience for him & he did not get better until we go him out of there. They said they would try to maintain him at the nursing home & that they can start IV meds if needed.I sure hope he improves.

I had a pretty productive day today. I saw 4 kids & started to learn how to find them somewhat better. Who knew elementary school kids move around like we did in high school? I got 3 referrals & got one scheduled to open the case. I was able to make arrangements to get me a desk, desk chair, file cabinet & a storage cabinet or shelving moved into my office in Westside Elem. I even got all my notes done. I was home by 4:00 watered my flowers, went & got a hair cut & bought me a sweater to wear to the football game tomorrow. I was still home before I would have been if I had worked in Nashville. Yep, a pretty good day overall.

Busy day Jan. Have a great time!

In less than 24 hours (as of now), my new meds are kicking butt. The infection is much smaller and there is no more pain. Wish they put me on these last Sunday.

Most of the time on medications they put you on a low dose. And if that doesn't relieve anything they will switch to a stronger dose or a different med name.

But great to hear your feeling better. Rick

Glad to hear you are feeling better Rick. I had a friend text me this afternoon that he had an extra ticket for the Bills game this Sunday so I am going now. We are going to try and take the Guinness world record for loudest crowd at an NFL game. The company I work for makes the sound meter that will be used to take the measurement. I am friends with the two guys that will be operating the equipment on the sidelines. Its a pretty sophisticated system and very accurate it costs $9000. Its the same system that was used in Seattle and Kansas City when they set the record.

Thanks everyone. Have a great weekend.

Gonna try buffing on the Impala some more, then a paint correction. After the Impala, I'll do a paint correction on the Camaro.

Glad the meds are working & you are feeling better Rick. Make sure you finish all the meds even if you feel completely better before you finish them.

Good morning everyone. I slept in today. We didn't get into bed until around 2:00 AM. The reunion was fun. We toured the High school. The addition they built on to it is huge but there are a lot fewer students than we had. It looks good but really different. Even the old part was completely renovated & had walls added where none existed before. Then we went to the football game. They were playing the cross town rival, a high school that did not exist when we were in school. They have build 3 or 4 new high schools in Clarksville since I was a teen. There was also not a stadium at the school when we went there. We played at the Austin Peay State University stadium. They called some of us out onto the field & recognized up including a few members of the football team, a cheerleader, the class president & me as the former band field conductor. Then we went bar hopping downtown Clarksville. Tonight is the big event. There are over 100 of us pre-paid. Probably more will show up at the event. I graduated with a class of 620 and maybe 20% of us have already died. Here are a couple of pics.

Still can't get a pic to post. Almost, gets into the 90% complete, and some msg pops up stating something isn't working.

Nice pics, sounds like you had a great time! My hubby is in that 20% that have died??? Ya, anytime he gets an invite to something he writes "Deceased, Return to Sender".

Yup, still taking my meds, they gave me quite a few!

You look very nice Jan.

Gotta work on that Normagene.

I don't think I can do much more to this dead paint. Looks nice in the shade, but looks bad in direct sunlight. However, the paint is smoother than before. I'll smear some brilliant Glaze and Americana on it tomorrow after the sealant has cured.

Jan have fun at the reunion.

Rick the impala looks good, when you say it looks bad in the sunlight is it marks in the paint that is seen or just the age showing . I like it and hope that your feeling better . remember working on our cars is good therapy .

Took the cars to our local "hot rods for cancer" car show. Got first place in the GM class. Then one the best of show against the best Ford, Mopar, ect.... What a real surprise. Was parked on the street in front of the movie theater. They were open for business so the marquee was lit up. Got a neat shot of the cars with the marquee. But I only had three cars in stead of four like the marquee says.
