Here is a tip that may help. Dieting should not be starving. I am not sure of your age or activity level but 1500 cals seems low for a healthy long term weight loss. You will see fast results for a while but it will come to a screeching halt once your body realizes you are starving it.Try eating 5 or 6 small meals every 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. The reason for this is that it takes about that time to digest food. when you eat larger meals your body can only burn so many calories the rest will most likely get stored as fat especially if your calorie intake is to low. eating more smaller meals helps keep your metabolism up. eating smaller meals more frequently helps prevent that hungry feeling. Also eating the proper ratios of carbs, protein and fat will help burn fat faster than the same amount of calories from the wrong ratios. Many think if they cut down on calories they will loose weight, in fact this is true but eating the right ratios will accelerate fat loss which is key.

Hi everyone. I wish I could find a way to make it MANDATORY TO READ THIS POST. before posting in it yourself but where as I cannot not I hope everyone who visits here does. I know this is a public forum and you are free to post as you please (within reason) but this is not the place. Many on this thread have set forth serious goals of loosing weight and becoming more healthy, Some have done this for medical reasons and some personal goals, for whatever reaseon, they have made a commitment to do this. Those that have no concern with weight loss regardless of if they NEED TO BE or not is not the point. The point is it is a struggle for some, for others food may be an addiction( and it can be just like drugs or alcohol) so when the above mentioned members come here and post the crap you eat and drink (your choice) you unkowingly are causing much difficulty for some. How would you like it if your brother or sister were a recovering alcoholic and some one kept tempting them with booze, 'cause that's what you're doing. I know it is meant for fun (and it may be fun for you) but not other members, so I am asking you please CUT THE SHIT. You are more than welcome to start an "I eat shit and don't care about you thread" and have your jollies there. Perhaps I'll join in myself, I am not trying to hurt anyones feelings or preach my views to you just felt this needed to be brought to your attention. Please show some respect, thanks.

Here is a bit of information for you and all the other people who eat like this.

When I was 18 and younger, I could and did eat like this all the time as well. At 18 I joined the Air Force weighing 105 pounds. As I started working more and exercising less my weight got up to 210 by age 25 (and it wasn't muscle). I stayed around 200 pretty much until I was 33 when I decided it was time for a change. I got down to 165 and then the holidays hit and I got back up to 175. Now I am working to get back to 165 or less.

Moral of the story, just because you can eat that way now, does not mean it won't eventually catch up to you and when it does, the weight tends to go on fast.

There are some body types that can eat like that their whole lives and never gain weight, they are usually the same types that can eat perfectly and train hard and never gain substantial muscle. The first example are usually really not healthy just skinny. The ones that do gain the weight as do most people don't even see it coming, you wake up one day and it's there at that point most people accept it and it goes down hill rapidly. The thing is no matter how bad or hopeless it seems it's not hopeless just challenging. It takes patience a common sence approach and HARD WORK but beleive me it won't kill you ( if you follow reasonable guide lines) and most likely will save your life, besides the added benefit of looking hot.
