I find it hard to believe that Percy Harvin and Louis Murphy were the only good WRs FL had on roster. If thats the case, Urban Meyer is not doing his damn job because WRs are a pretty integral part of the spread offense.

That also doesn't explain why your offensive play calling sucked this year compared to last year. Watching the SECCG I had more than a few "WTF are they doing" moments....

But yeah, Woody Mccorvey did suck balls. Whatever we were paying him it was too much...

Check out this RB that OU/Texas are fighting over for the 2011 recruiting class. His name is Malcolm Brown and he is the closest thing to Adrian Peterson that I've seen since AP came out.

He is listed at 6'0, 200lbs as a Junior in HS, but he plays much bigger than that. In his highlight reel that is on that web-page you see him run past, around and over defenders on his way to the enzone. He reminds me of Adrian Peterson in the way he is a fast, powerful runner who always seems like he is running angry.

Yeah the Newton/Auburn connection has been like a pendulum on crack the last few days. First he was visiting, then AU denied it, then confirmed it, then Newton denied it.

I guess he's back to visiting now.

Since Auburn has 6 (!) QBs on the roster I just don't see it after Newton's comments about wanting to be "the guy". I think AU is probably gonna be last on the list.

Flip a coin between us and OU as far as where he goes. Guess we'll find out next week any way you cut it...

You know whats strange (and don't grill me on this because I don't know the link to the article) is his father was quoted as saying he wanted him in a pro passing offense to better his passing ability, and increase his chances of going to the NFL.

Too me, that sounds like 2 things.

A. His father is riding the my-son-will-make-me-rich train

and

B. OU


But you don't exactly get on the job training there, and he will get overlooked on his passing ability being at OU. I'm not sure if his dad doesn't get that, or if someone is feeding him lies.

No grilling, I've read the same thing

The more I've read what his dad has said, the more I'm of the opinion his dad is an idiot quite honestly. Far too much I I I and Me Me Me in what he says instead of "Whats best for Cam."

As far as working on passing, thats kinda why I think he's gonna come to MSU. He knows CDM has a history of mentoring QBs and we have a big enough stable of good running backs (and another dual threat QB that I hope they make a RB) that Newton can focus on building his passing game and decision making skills.

Between RS FR Montrel Connor, JuCo signee Vick Ballard and Jr. Robert Elliot plus Chris Relf if converted, we should have plenty of rushing options without having to depend on Newton.

All that and virtually guaranteed, he will start should he come here. Tyler Russell, our blue chip QB that red shirted this year is supposed to be an awesome natural talent but word is he needs another year or so to build his size and get his feet wet on the college level.
