Well we made a valiant effort but got only 3/4 of the deck done & ran out of stain/sealant. The wood was REALLY thirsty. Oh, well, we will have to finish another day. I'm bushed.

My weekend :)

This weekend we were on a little cruise through Stillwater,MN. We drove down by the Saint Criox river and went by an old Motorcycle bar we used to hang at when I still had the Harley. The road in front is a large circle and it's always full of Bikes. We came around the front of the Bar slow and there stands a Dad holding his Son and the Kid yells YELLOW CAMARO < Well I stop to wave at the little guy. When Dad turns and smiles telling us Yellow is his favorite color car and he knows the transformer car Anyways I have lots of Hot Wheels Camaro's in my trunk I give kids at Car Shows. I grabbed the Parking brake and jumped out and got him a Yellow 1969 Camaro. LOL The kid started yelling DAD look My own Yellow Camaro. ^5 The Place went Nuts clapping hahahahahah The people in the Biker Bar had been watching. MADE MY DAY

Dodged a minor bullet last night. We went to a Brad Paisley concert at a local Amphitheater. It in a local amusement park and I had not been to a dhow there in about 20 years but its a decent sized park so they have large paved parking lots. It rained here all weekend so when we left for tge concert I considered taking the Camaro as its about an hour away so my truck would use more gas.

However i just cleaned the interior of the Camaro and it was crappy out and I blocked it in the garage with my truck the night before so I just decided to take tbe truck instead of moving it to get the Camaro out. Well when we get there they are not parking cars in the parking lots but in a grassy area behindthe Amphitheater so its pretty wet and muddy. After the concert i saw several cars spinning in the mud and a guy in a minivan actually got stuck in front of me briefly. I just tossed my truck in auto 4WD and sloshed through it without a problem but I am not sure i would have gotten the Camaro in or out of there without getting stuck. Time to wash the mud off the truck today.

Great story Skip. Glad you took the truck Zandron. Always go with your gut. Hope the clean-up is not too bad.

For some odd reason my morning post did not submit. Perhaps it was too close to the dreaded bewitching hour, but I could have sworn I saw it post. Whatever. I woke up with my back hurting a little so took some aspirin again. It seems a little better. It was not bad but wanted to head it off so it does not worsen. I am still a little tired. Mike is going to Lowe's this morning to get more stain/sealer so we can finish the deck whenever weather permits. It rained a little last night & more is expected today Tue & Wed so we will just have to wait & see. It will be another slow day at work. I'm glad it is a 4 day work week. Have a good Monday.

Did a mile of walk, fast walk, sprint then my hour long dance exercise class. For some reason today it zapped me. I am sleepy & it is not even 9:00 yet. Heading to my bed. I'll watch the TV for a while but that won't last long. Nighty night.

Glad you dodged that bullet Zandron.

Had a huge sinus headache today. It was a rough morning but I felt better after a lunchtime nap.

Good morning. It is foggy here & there & more rain expected today. Most of the rain missed us yesterday. We could use the rain but an do without storms which may also develop. Off to Nashville this morning & glad I won't have to go there tomorrow when President Obama will be visiting a school on my route. That will be a mess! Glad your headache subsided Rick & hope you have a better day. Have a good day everyone.

Ever try a Neti Pot? It's for sinus relief. Hubby uses it, looks like a miniature tea pot, plastic ones or pricier ceramic. Mix a cup of distiller or micro-filtered water, then add a packet of their mix. The mix is sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate.

Luke warm, he nukes it for 45 seconds, then adds the mix. Lean over the sink or in the shower and you pour half into each nostril. Sounds crazy and feels really weird, but it does cleanse the sinuses.

Dr.Oz has featured it many times on his show. Great to use during allergy season especially a few hours before bed. Doesn't cost much either, he buys the sinus relief packets at BJs, box of 100.

Anyway, it works for him.

Oh yeah, I think we have one of those. I'll have to look for it. Claire used it quite often years ago.

Fairly busy day but got all my work done. Came home & watered the potted plants that were looking wilted. The forecasters missed totally today. No rain anywhere. They are still calling for rain tomorrow but you can't count on it.

I am taking Ruby in to get her radiator flushed, battery checked & if needed, replaced, & DOT 4 brake fluid put in as well as just a general checking out. That is all I plan to do before the fest unless they think I need new brake pads then If so I'll order some & get them installed between now & then. Also taking Pepper in for an oil change. All this in between seeing 4 clients for an hour each & doing my notes. It is so nice working in town 3 days a week so I can do things like this.
