Good morning. We had some rain overnight which was well needed. Supposed to be a slightly milder but very muggy day. We have not decided what we are going to do today yet. There are a couple of local car shows but not sure if we will partake. I'm still struggling with stuff to get for my dad for Father's day. The only thing on my mind is giving him things he can hold & fidget with but they are hard to find. I wish I could find an old Rubic's Cube. Not for him to solve, just to fidget with. I found a few things but am going to look for a few more today. Have a great ay everyone.

Worked in the yard and on the pool today, even when it was 110* +. Nothing strenuous, so I did not get sick or dehydrate.

We have such hard water here and I have to remove a calcium ring from the tiles lining the pool. Not a hard job, just time consuming.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads! Happy Sunday to everyone.

I'm up bright & early to go visit my dad & Mike's dad. It is going to be a really muggy one outside her. I hope my in-laws got the pool pump fixed. I found me a new Nike swim suit yesterday on sale for a great price. I'd love to try it out & get a little exercise & sun.

Have a great day crew.

Kind of late in the day, hoping all the Dads here had a happy Father's Day.

My own son was in town over the weekend . . . in the 2015 sixxer RS convertible he rented. His oldest graduated H.S. on Friday, and for once he had all three of his kids together up here (long story).

I snapped this cellphone pic on the way to today's mid-afternoon dinner. For once, I wasn't driving.

It was a pretty good day. My dad was or very alert today. He was not very talkative, seemed a little groggy & did not have as good dexterity in his hands. I think he was more medicated than usual today. It looked like they did not have as many staff there today & maybe could not manage him the way they usually do. They had his wheelchair backed up against the wall & a table pulled up to him so he could not wander around getting into mischief. He handled all the fidgits I brought him & I got him to eat like 4 M & M's.

Mike's parents fed us way too much food again today. Huge T-Bone steaks, corn on the cob, 2 kinds of salads, Baked beans, Baked potatoes, Then Ice Cream, Strawberry cake, whipped cream, watermelon & German coffee for dessert. I floated around in the pool for a while then did a little swimming, treading water & water resistance exercises.

Mike's dad was not getting around very well today & as always was in a good bit of pain. He jumped out of a few too many airplanes along with a number of other combat related injuries & it is really catching up to him. It is really sad watching that generation go down & knowing we are not really all that far behind them.

My daughter Jina called her dad & is coming home tomorrow. Our son Ryan texted Mike a nice pic of him in front of a rainbow in the dessert.
