Dang! Things are moving very fast. We already had 2 offers on the home place. One was insulting. The other is a cash offer for the full amount we are asking. Gee wiz I hope we did not under price it. I am really tired from a mile of walk, fast walk, sprint & my hour long exercise class. Glad it is Friday!

Good Saturday morning. It is going to be a beautiful day. We have some decisions to make this weekend. We looked up the potential buyer & it is a nice looking young family in the real estate business. If the sale goes through that will be one less headache for my sister to have to deal with. We still have some large items to remove (freezer, dryer, lawn tractor & implements & items from the garage that have to be disposed of appropriately (chemicals, oils, etc). Have a great weekend crew.

Good luck with the sale.

Our hot water heater crapped out yesterday. Getting it replaced today, and watching the cash we don't have fly out the window.

That sucks! Hope you are able to work it our with the least possible difficulty.

We are going to be in a hot mess when ours goes out next. The last few of the small ones are being sold now. The new ones are bigger around to be more fuel efficient. Our space is so tight the bigger ones won't fit & no place else to put one. The last time ours went we came home to a flood & ended up getting all the floors replaced. The good part was we did away with carpet & got all tile & hard wood.

We had it replaced today. I did not feel doing that install.

Now we'll have to work some OT to pay for it.

The top was rusting and just beginning to leak, so it was time.

Now we'll have to work some OT to pay for it.

Ours had the thermostat go out & the safety valve blew. We came home to Old Faithful spewing & water about 6 in deep through most of the house. Luckily insurance kicked in. We added in more & just upgraded the flooring. Glad you acted before things were worse.

Thanks Jan. Seems that scenario was in our near future. Would have ruined lots of drywall.

Damn AC in house went out Wednesday morning. Had motor replaced yesterday and a nice $641.00 bill to go along with it. Warranty expired three months ago. Will call Monday office to see if the cover it, help pay or pro rated disc.

That sucks that the warranty just ran out. Hopefully they will be a stand up company & cover it.

Good morning. Going to be a hot one here. Headed out for a drive in the Camaros & to visit my dad. The place he worked hard for, bought, paid for & farmed as his second job for my whole life may sell today & we can't tell him about it. He just would not understand. But is it the right thing to do. Have a great Sunday.

Bummer, and I hope you got a good 'install'. After not quite 37 years, we're on our third new one. One we had installed . . . by a crew that didn't bother to stub the tubing more than maybe 1/16" inside one of the fittings, so it leaked there long before the heater itself did. I've done the last two HW heater installs myself, and about a month ago had to replace a hot side flex hose because it had started leaking. Fortunately, it's outside the house proper and shares the "garage" floor, and fortunately I go out in the "garage" frequently enough to have caught these leaks before they became catastrophic.

Jan - you're probably going through the emotionally toughest part of that piece of real estate business right now. After it's over and done with you'll feel relieved that the matter is off your hands, and you'll just have to ignore what the new owners do with it.
