Found hubby's secret stash. That's right, he's been pack'n on the pounds, and now I know why.. Big box of cookies, the Biggest Bag of Peanut M&Ms I've Ever seen, and the Final Straw - Magnum Caramel/Chocolate Icecream Bars!

He said he's spending hours and hours working in the yard so a little snack can't hurt. Problem is - Heart Disease is HUGE in his family. His two older brothers, 6&7 yrs older, nicknamed Bi-Pass and Heart-Attack, for the obvious reason.

Both had trouble at around 50, but I'm strict so my hubby, almost 60, has been doing Great so far. But NOT if he keeps this up. I'm Mad......

A little junk from time to time is fine, he always gets dessert when we go out to eat, but No Junk at Home!

Don't be too hard on him. It is hard giving up all that good tasting, bad for you stuff we have become addicted to. I have been thinking a lot about all the "healthy" foods we pushed at my Mom when she got the cancer diagnosis. We pretty much knew it was terminal from the beginning even though they did not say it for a while. We should have been getting her anything on this Earth she wanted to eat. I have decided if I ever get a very serious diagnosis, all bets are off. I'm eating every yummy, unhealthy thing I love as much as I want as long as I can. That is my plan and I am sticking to it.

It was a beautiful, perfect weather day. We had a great turnout for the Camaro homecoming event. Much of the fun is still sucked out of the club events for me but I'm trying to make the best of it I can. Mike took the pics & I will work on downloading them next. Some of the club folks headed over to another members house for a huge cookout, but I just was not up for that long of a day. We have a cookout at Mike's parents house tomorrow & will go to visit my dad first. I needed to save some energy for tomorrow. So Mike & I came home & sat outside & just relaxed in the perfect weather & then grilled us some steaks.

Pics here:

LOL that Mike did not get one pic of my Camaro.

Looks like we are getting a Sleep Number. It's like sleeping on heaven.

This is a first! It was a beautiful day and temps tonight are in the 70's. For some reason, I did not feel like going to a cruise. Weird.

Finalized the deal on a Sleep Number. It's pricy, maybe that is why I didn't go to a cruise. In the mean time, we have to endure the worn out, POS, Stearns and Foster we bought 4 years ago.

Good morning. It is a crisp morning but supposed to be another beautiful day. We will probably drive the Camaros to Clarksville today. I hope to arrive around lunch time to see daddy. I want to see if they are feeding him.

It is really weird the things that start to happen to your body as you age. I am now awakened every morning not by my alarm clock but by my right arm falling asleep. At first I thought it was that I was laying on it oddly & causing it to fall asleep but I find myself laying in different positions when it wakes me up. And it is never in the middle of the night, just when it is time to wake up. Weird.

Have a great day everyone.

Hey Hey, I saw a bunch of Monkeys on that last train to Clarksville!

I hear ya on the junk food. He knows heart disease is huge in his family so he has to be careful. I'm a firm believer that a mans health is a direct reflection of his wife's love. Men left to their own decision capabilities amounts to Poor, at best, results.

Yeah, Great song & there really was a last (passenger) train to Clarksville close to that time but who knows if there is a connection.

Well it was another beautiful day here. We drove the Camaros taking the back roads to Clarksville. It was a great cruise. Visited my dad. I saw my sisters there & then they left & Mike & I stayed for a while. He was sitting in the dining area with some huge lego type things he would pick up, fondle/inspect for a while & put back down. I brought him a book from Good guys with pics of all their winning cars from 2014 to look at. I flipped through the pages & pointed out some I thought he'd like. He tried to comment on a few. He would tap his feet sometimes to the music that was playing & tried to talk to me but mostly not much you could understand. Occasionally there were understandable words or phrases. When we got ready to go he said "Come back to see me soon" & When I told him "I love you" he said it back. That was good.

Then we visited with Mike's parents & are way too much ribs, brats & pork chops that Mike's brother grilled along with all the other fixings & dessert. I am miserable. Nothing on the agenda for tomorrow except chillaxing.

Worked on this super nice'69 Grand Prix today. Afterwards, I started a project in my front yard to install low wattage lighting and repair a leaky section of irrigation hose. The challege was fishing wire through 30 feet of PVC hose buried under the driveway, which is 28 feet wide. Metal fish tape worked great. Managed to hook up two lights so far before nightfall.

Nice projects Rick. We trimmed the low hanging branches from our trees when we got home & dragged them to the street to be picked up but that only took a few minutes.
looks better though. I'm going to work on my display book that I take to car shows today. Going to rain most of the day. That is good though we need the rain.

Happy Memorial day & much thanks to those who gave all so we can enjoy it.

Mike found us a cute little table & chairs for the deck for just $57 today. Now we can eat on the deck more comfortably & it is just the right size.

Nice score Jan!

We hung out with our car cruise friends today, and had a great time! Also managed to finish irrigation repairs and installed 9 of my 11 outdoor light fixtures.

Glad we only have a four day work week.

Good morning. Another chilly one here. It was nice to just do nothing yesterday. I too am thankful for a 4 day work week but still dread the drive in to Nashville this morning. Have a good day.
