Ruby is no longer a daily driver. She slumbers in the garage until I'm ready for some Camaro fun. The suspension mods I have & am making will still leave me with a fun to drive car. I am trying to do my research on everything I do. So far she corners much better & has less body roll, the steering feels much tighter & responsive, almost no play. She still rides nice. The springs will only lower it about 1 1/2 in and have a better compression to them. I appreciate your guidance but I think I will be okay. Not going drastic in anything I am doing.
It got into the low 60's today. It felt great! Did a little more shopping today after a few chores. Daddy looked pretty good today. He laughed again when we were throwing the ball around & smiled at his musical stuffed animals. He really tries to make conversation but just can't put together a sentence that makes any sense. I just act like it does make sense & say things like "Really?" or "You think so?" Or if it sounds like a question "I don't know".

Good morning. It is weird awakening in the dark with the time change. I was tired yesterday & turned in a bit early. Coffee time & off to work I go. HAGD crew.

It was especially difficult to get back into the "work" groove today. But I get to quit early for, of all things, a dentist appointment.
While I was walking during my lunch break, a swarm of bees flew past me on the other side of the road. THAT could have been interesting if I was in their path!

Got up to low 60's here & feels like summer after how cold it has been. Snow is gone except for huge piles where it was plowed. I also had a hard time getting into the work groove today. I had an especially tough exercise class tonight so I am spent. Have a good evening crew.

Good morning crew. I sure did not want to get up out of the bed this morning. It is partly that killer work out from yesterday & partly the time change. It is a Nashville day so likely to be very busy. It is a rainy day & supposed to rain much of the time the rest of the week. Good news is, hopefully that will wash all the salt crap off the road so we can get our daily drivers washed this weekend. Bad news is the rivers are already up & flood watch is on. Have a good day everyone.

Busy, Busy, Busy. Just finished my work. Soreness from yesterday's workout is starting to set in. I'm very tired. Must sleep now.

Where is everyone?
![]() I've been reading many threads about the Vitesse Throttle Controller. Might have to give this some serious consideration. Got up to 86* here today. Nice top down weather.

Yeah, I'm thinking about the throttle controler too. Initially when they were talking about the development of it, Chase (Apex Motorsports) was sceptical saying they were no help & just a way to waste gas, but now he is convinced & says he has had nothing but positive responses from customers. I also am now considering getting better brake pads & stainless steel brake lines along with better grade brake fluid. Neither of these are cheap options so I'll have to save up my $. Going to go ahead & do my springs first though.
I am sore from Monday's work out so am hoping to work out some of that soreness today. I'm getting ready to join the YMCA as 2 days a week is just not enough for me to meet my goals before the fest. They stay open later & have more options for me. One of my little preschoolers was the one who found his grandfather deceased yesterday. He is coming in this morning for an emergency session. I kind of dread it. I'll probably cry too. I'm glad to be able to help the little guy through this though. The GF has lived in the home all the child's life & they were very close. He was already having a herd time understanding why Papa could not get up & play with him as he has been terminally ill for some time now. We have been trying to prepare him but could not have anticipated he would be the one to find him when he passed. I am still having a hard time adjusting to the time change. I am definately not a morning person any time of the year but this year's time change is seeming to be especially tough. Have a good Hump day crew!

I have been thinking about the throttle controller as well after reading how everyone on here just loves it. Jan if you even want to think about ever autocrossing your Camaro I would suggest upgrading to the Brembro Brakes and calipers. The V6 brakes are just not meant to be driven hard. Three laps around Watkins Glen made mine very hot and I had to let them cool down before I could drive home.
It has been getting warmer here in the 40's so some of the 2 foot snow pack is starting to slowly melt. I can finally see my driveway for the first time in about a month. I have been trying to get a lot done at work to make it easier on them when I go out on disability next week so I have been tired. I did have to build myself a new laptop as the hard drive on my old one started to fail. I hate replacing my work laptop as I have a lot of custom settings and administrative tools that need to be reinstalled. I started it on Monday and just finished it up this afternoon. The new one is very light compared to the old one.

It's not the rotors and calipers that need attention for a newbie to track days, it's the brake fluid and pads. Yes, everything will get hot over the course of a 20 minute or longer session, and the most critical things are the fluid (boiling point) and pads (pad fade). Fix those first.
I'm running Motul RBF600 brake fluid (a high-temperature DOT4 fluid), track pads, and some cooling ducting aimed at the front brakes. That has proven to be entirely sufficient so far, running solo in the intermediate group with some track day groups and in a combined advanced/instructor group at my home track's own track days. My stock front rotors are only 12.4". Norm |

I am feeling OOOOOOLD! A year off from hard core working out and a year closer to 60 and my body is not happy about me trying to get back into shape. Everything hurts. I am not sure whether or not to be upset at myself for not pushing harder when I stop & don't do as many reps on some things or change to a different exercise altogether when something is too hard or I feel a tweak & I am worried about reinjuring old injuries. After class I feel not just physically tired, drained, weak & trembling, but mentally taxed & not clear thinking. Half of my brain wants to push through it & drop this weight and half wants to throw in the towel & schedule to go & get aqua lipo & have my fat rearranged from where I don't want it to where I do.
OLD SUCKS!

Jan, I agree, old with bioentropy (fancy word for stuff getting old) is getting OLD!!
If Y'all navigate over to the National Corvette Museum Web site, select builds/specs from the menu near the top of the page... navigate to the bottom of the list and select calendar. ... tada is the March page with a photo of my brother Ed's 2015 Z06/Z07 Vette with all the fixins!! He got the money, I got the brains (ostensibly ) I was checking the temp mid afternoon and it was 88.7!! Don't shoot me I'm just the messenger. |
