Good morning. Ruby Too woke me up this morning. I wanted to sleep in more but she was having none of it. Coffee done & time to get busy. Got Christmas stuff to do! Have a good weekend crew.

I really don't remember, but probably several thousand dollars. Thanks.

There is a drivers meeting today at Westworld at noon. Westworld is where the Barrett Jackson Auction is held. The loading process has changed. And three days have been added to the auction schedule. Should help emmensely with my weight loss.

I'm tired. My house is cleaner than it has been in years! Maybe my OCD son will think it is clean enough to sit down & relax this time. I got most of the Christmas stuff wrapped too. Now I'm having a couple of adult beverages before turning in for a good night's sleep. Tomorrow I will visit my dad & give him round 1 of his Christmas stuff & meet my sisters at his assisted living facility to exchange gifts with them. I'm not sure about the holidays anymore. Happy, sad, solemn.........sigh............................... ......

What a long day! Got up early to primp the Camaro, then drove over to Westworld for our meeting. It lasted about two hours. Memorabilia auctions start Saturday, 1/10 and go through Monday afternoon. Then the car auction begins late Monday afternoon. We'll run less than 100 cars through on Monday. Tuesday is Ron Pratte day where the majority of his collection will be sold at no reserve. His high-end stuff will sell on Friday and Saturday nights.

Wednesday we will run over 300 cars through the auction. It will be fast and furious that day. Right now, there are over 1600 cars on the docket, 300 more than last year. You can watch the action on Velocity and The History Channel. Might even see me.

After the meeting, I drove over to the Pavilions. Only took one photo.....of my car. gonna try my Nikon app and download it from my camera to my iPad.

Very cool. I will be watching. Take lots of pics for us!

I'm up early on a Sunday for Christmas with my sisters & dad. I will go by to visit daddy again on Christmas day or eve, maybe both, but this was the best day for the sisters to get together with him. HAGD crew.

My sisters & I had our gift exchange with daddy today at Walking Horse (his assisted living facility). It was good to get together but so sad to watch him going downhill so rapidly, here are a few pics.

Jan just cherish what time you have left with your dad. I remember going through the same thing with my parents watching them go downhill is tough. We made it to Florida yesterday afternoon and its been quite warm here in the 70's but rather rainy. The 2 days of driving must have taken it out of me as I slept 12 hours last night which I have not done in years.

It's nice to see my sister in law and her family though even if the weather will be a little wet it's way better than what I would have got at home. I think I will put a winter coat of glaze and wax on my truck while I am here in the warmer weather. I may also have a little money left over from my Christmas bonus to buy a winter mod for the Camaro. I am thinking about a painted heritage grill.

I was thinking about doing something with the rear gills. I don't like those vinyl fade strips or the plastic and/or metal insets. I'd like to get them cut open. Seen a few off the shelf kits, but they're bulky or only have one open slot. Some just look cheap and like a glob stuck on the side of the car.

So my question is has anyone seen a good look'n set? I imagine having them fabricated by a metal shop, plus then paint re spray, well that's just too expensive.

Anyway, just putting it out there, I'd appreciate any suggestions. Here's an example of one with only one slot, and just glued on top of the existing gills.

I'll be going to the BJ Auction in January. This will be my third time. I'll post pictures when I get back.

ACS is not cheap stuff but very good quality. The Gill insert is not just glued on. You have to cut the whole Gill section out. Take the back seat out. Rear side panels have to come off. Holes have to be drilled in the inside body frame to hold the panels in place once installed.
