Of course I brought fudge. It has sort of become expected of me at gatherings.

I packaged another batch of fudge tonight & did a little more crafting. I will need to make at least one more batch of fudge, maybe 2. I have a little more shopping to do this weekend. Than I will only have wrapping & cooking to do to be ready for Christmas. This weekend I will be meeting my sisters at Daddy's assisted living facility for gift exchange. & next week my kids will be home.

Now they are calling for a freezing mix in the morning...rain, sleet, freezing rain. I would not be too upset if it was worse than expected & I got to stay home tomorrow. I won't be happy if it is just bad enough to increase my anxiety level as I drive in. Tired now. Good night.

Fudge photos would be fantastic!

It was a cloudy, gray, rainy day here in the valley, totally uncharacteristic for us.

Just a little drizzle/freezing rain but does not look to be a problem right where I am but in Kentucky & on the plateau in Tennessee it is getting slick & some accidents on the interstates already & school opening times delayed.

We have a Christmas luncheon today at work. Yesterday I could not eat the lunch; pizza. Good thing I had a lunch at work. Have a good day everyone.

Winter in Ottawa sucks. Hate the half year of cold and snow.
Getting bronchitis and walking pneumonia sucks at any age.
If you have young pets buy insurance now as I have spent $5000 out of pocket on vet bills in 5 weeks and not yet finished.
Suggest you never buy a 48 year old auto unless you have deep pockets and a good medical plan to help with the stress.
But seriously, I look at my glass as half full. Still have my cats regardless of their health issues. Have a wonderful job. Looking forward to completing my latest project this winter of bringing my 1966 T-Bird up from a 2- to a 2 or 2+ so I can show next spring. Awards not important. Perhaps this auto will get me out of the house and interact with others on a personal level as I have more or less been a recluse for more than a decade even though I traveled the world with speaking engagements.

Life is short, life can be good if you focus on the positive and do not dwell on the negative. Sept 11, 2001 lost the love of my life after 20 years. Yes, I have traveled around the world with self promoting speaking venues but no satisfaction...just going through the motions. Spent more than a decade feeling sorry for myself, dwelling in the past, and what a waste of time.

As we get older focus on all that is good in your life. That is my wish for all of you this coming year. Every day, every year can be new beginning.

You spoke volumes. I get what you're saying about focusing on the positive!
