This is something I said back in 2005. The NCAA gave it to Reggie Bush and Vince Young answered why he thuoght he got screwed and should have got it.

My Two Finalist INGRIM/MCCOY

Say what you want about MCCOY " his last game wasnt the best "
yeah well the game before last wasnt the best of Ingrams either against Auburn.
What is this award about ?

1.The player who made the last single impact ?
2 OR the player who made the most of an impact over the WHOLE year ?

If you say #2 then in my opinion its between ( not in this order nessasary )
MCCoy and Gerheart

Ingram had a Great year but there were 3 games where he had shaky games but hey who is perfect right ? AWSOME GAME verses Florida however why give him all the credit what about the play of his QB ?

Gerheart Wow lol awsome running back who proved against teams especially USC why he is the work horse week in and week out for his Team.

Mccoy ( say it he sucked the other night ) And he did just what he has done every game when it came down to it.
1.5 minutes to go Give him the ball and he finds his target to get the job done. He does it week in and week out. he has done it 19 times since he has come here.
He leads his Team in Rushing , He has passed well over 3,000 yards his last 3 years , The last 2 years he has held a Completetion percentage of 71% and above and Now he is the All Time winningest QB ever in College Football.

Either way whoever gets it right now people are going to Argue who deserves it........ Me of course im taking my QB the kid is a machine however I also have to say dont leave out gerheart/ingram and Wow Tebow back AGAIN to Tebow

If this comes down between Ingram/MCCoy it needs to wait until after the Championship Game because this is a award for performance over the WHOLE YEAR. Not the Last Game.

These voters are the funniest people in the world. In what I now consider to be the stupidest award in the world.

The year Peterson came in second was my final year to give a shit about it. He would have won the award but "He was a freshman" voter after voter kept saying that. LITERALLY. I got tired of hearing interviews with voters saying

"Adrian Peterson is the best college football player hands down, BUT, I just can't give my vote to a freshman".

FOOEY on this stupid award. I didn't give a damn when Bradford won it and won't ever care about it again.

NOW, on to McCoy. He deserves the award and since they gave one to Bradford and Tebow, they will right the ship so to speak. Ingram still has a chance next year. Gerhart won't win. Not with McCoy still waiting from last year.

I think it's going to be real right between Ingram and McCoy. Which is a shame because it SHOULD be real tight between CJ Spiller and Toby Gerhart.

How many people watched the ACC Championship? Not many. Too bad, it was CJ Spillers 3rd 300 yard game on the ground this year. Ingram blows off 180 yards once, and he should win the award.....

As Lee Corso would say........ NOT SO FAST.

CJ Spiller is the most talented offensive player in football, and he is only the 3rd player in college football history to have 3 300yard games on the ground in the same season. He's scored a touchdown in every way possible. Kick returns, punt returns, running, receiving, throwing.... And this is a one year award. This isn't an MVP award, this is the most outstanding player for one year. There hasn't been one more outstanding than CJ Spiller.

And my number 2, is Toby Gerhart. Gerhart has the most rushing TD's, most rushing yards, and most yards per game out of any of the RB's. Mr. Consistant.

As I said it once last years Heisman Canidates were probably the 3 most respectable people who are very athletic and will for sure make an impact in the NFL for some team at whatever position.

I'm the last person who will add when tebow Cried I understood why he cried.
I did the same thing back in HS after we won State.

When you do something you love so much and its over weather you got to where you wanted or you came short either way its a sad moment.

Tebow is awsome I wont deny that I hvae no problem giving him all the credit in the world for his sucess and leadership I just think by comparing him to
Very high people like "GOD" is a little much.

Good luck to the kid hope he goes out with a Win and a Bang at the Sugar Bowl

I bet he would have cried even if they won. It wasn't because they lost.

Oh, and no offense to Tebow or you Zeus. But I won't be watching that video. I'm just Tebowed out.

Because the college and pro games are different. I remember Eric Crouch dominating in college, but knowing full well he likely he wouldn't be drafted.

Oh Couch.

Well probably because he wasnt fit to be an NFL QB, and wasn't athletic or physically capable enough to play another position.

If I remember correctly, the Rams tried to convert him to a Free Safety, but it didn't pan out.

He played Safety in HS, and was recruited as an athlete to potentially play Safety/WR/QB.... but he wasn't big enough. 6'0 200lbs isn't enough for the NFL...........

Hey Garcmol

I wanted to clear something up I heard earlier in the week from a coach.
I just saw on Sports here in the metroplex area where MCCoy admitted today to the press that even though running the clock down to 1 or 2 seconds in a critical time and calling time out or lobbing it out of bounds he didnt know the Call/Rule where it had to hit something.

Oh well Luck on his/our part atleast he threw it when he did and that Camera was in its path otherwise if it didnt hit the camera when it did the clock would have said 0.00 wipes sweat off of forehead

Lets see any of us make the right decision after getting the $hit knock out of us by Nebraska's Giant on the line defensive tackle, Ndamukong Suh over and over.

Did any of yall know it had to hit something ? I didnt I thought as long as it went out of bounds like in the NFL it was out.

oh well thank you for the object in its path !!!!!

why do we have to have different rules for NFL and College ? ball hitting something , 1 to 2 feet down for it to be in bounds football is football make rules and lets use them sheesh.

Mike Marts did say that in all his years of coaching football Crouch was the fastest he ever coached.
