Yeah, but we have neither the time nor the knowledge to do it ourselves unfortunately. I am going to call 2 of my best friends from HS who have their own real estate agency now & see if they will help or at least give us some guidance.

The lighting looks really nice!

It is a chilly morning here with storms moving in. Coffee time now. Have a good work week crew.

Transmission update|:

Auto transmission serviced last Thursday. When I picked it up service rep computer screen indicated release to customer. No bill at time of pickup (no paperwork). Friday received a call from dealership, I did not pay my bill. I asked why a bill as the Camaro was in for transmission warranty issue, first reported 3 years ago, and transmission still under warranty.

Today, Monday, had a 45 min. call with my service rep. (I called the dealership, they did not call me). Bottom line transmission still under factory warranty. TCM part replaced three years ago under warranty. Years ago when TCM replaced under warranty, moderate improvement in low gear hesitation (flares) between low gears. Now, a few years later, transmission still under warranty, returned to dealership for same low gear hesitation (flares) between low gear and auto only at under 7,000 miles.

Issue: current TCM (Part) previously replaced under warranty not the issue as current replacement TCM has not failed and does not require a 'part' replacement. Issue is that in the last few years GM updated the transmission Software that can help my 2011 A6 shift smoother, and GM realized there was an issue with the TCM software years ago. As I understand it |I was the first Camaro owner in North America to report this A6 flare with lower A6 gears. During following years others with the A6 transmission reported same issue of low gear hesitation (flares) in lower gears.

Bottom line, GM replaces PART's under warranty only if the part fails. GM does not cover under warranty SOFTWARE upgrades even if the auto is returned for continuing transmission issues. Bottom line I must pay for the latest GM transmission software to help resolve a transmission issue I reported and had serviced years ago with a replacement of the TCM. Bottom line, GM warranty only replaces parts, and if later found (still under warranty), GM does not cover software updates.

So next week will drop by my dealership and pay my bill for about $143 for the transmission software update so my transmission does not flare between lower gears, even though I thought my transmission was still covered by the warranty.

I do not apologize I am a little pissed off at GM at this time. My dealership excellent, this is a GM issue (and perhaps other auto brands). Perhaps I am old school but thought if I have a transmission warranty, then I expected the warranty to address ALL transmission issues. Instead I find my warranty only replaces bad parts, and not bad software.

The night time pool shots are fantastic. Nicely thought out placement on trees and walls. Also, congrats on the 40 pound weight loss. I need to loose about 10 to 15 pounds but can't seem to dig down deep enough to stay the coarse. John

Those night time pool pictures . . . WOW, just WOW.

abaucom - if that transmission software glitch can be construed as emissions-related, they might have to pick up the tab anyway. It does cause the car to operate somewhat abnormally, and I doubt that the emissions certification included any time or mileage duration in that condition.

Jan - sorry to hear about you having to deal with your Dad's real estate, with all of its memories. As executor of my Dad's estate, I had to go through some of the same improvement stuff and step back a bit to make a few intentionally unemotional decisions. But the property wasn't nearly as large or as potentially valuable as what you have on your hands. Long story short, the house did stay in the family and I'm essentially done with it even though the estate still has a few open items left to attend to.

Good evening crew. Morning rain/storms moved through before I had to leave for work. The pop-up variety storms throughout the day managed to miss me wherever I was. Lots of folks got some hail, winds & a possible tornado. I'm happy to have been missed. My next to the last client cancelled & the last one got there half an hour early so I got to leave early. I have a couple of notes to do but no complaints. Have a nice evening crew.

Excellent pictures of the pool and lighting , you did a great job finishing it off. On fri around 1 pm my wife called from the cottage to say a maple tree fell on it during high winds and rain storm. I left work then to see the damage . It came from the bush beside us and was laying on the roof and blocking one doorway . When I got there the tree was around 80 feet long and it came down between two of our maple trees , I think they helped to break the fall . The good thing about it was that the top of the tree was on the roof and into the doorway , so minimal damage . Need to replace a piece of aluminum soffit ,screen door and entrance light that got broken . Got lucky !! I am glad I have all the equipment necessary to remove the tree , my farm tractor was used to lift the tree off the roof so I could remove it without anymore damage .. NOW one more thing on Thursday my 1970 rs z28 was sitting in front of the doorway and I decided to go and get it because they were calling for rain almost everyday this week. I don't want to think what my car would look like with a tree on its roof. Our cottage is in the bush and this is the first time one has hit or even come close to it in 30 yrs we have been going to it. I could not take any pictures since my company phone only allows me to post on inter company email. Bottom line no one got hurt and could have been worst ..The picture below shows my hot wheels Camaro close to same spot , doorway is about 6 ft behind it.

Those are awesome, but if I cannon balled into it, there would be a title wave and the lighting might not like that ;o)

Simply awesome pictures...

Wow 70rsz28! Sounds like you had "good luck in your bad luck" as my mother used to always tell me. Glad you lucked out with the car, minimal damage to the house & no one hurt! Still it is a PITA. Hope clean-up goes smoothly.
