Glad it worked out for you.

Raining here, again..... But I get to fly home tomorrow (Saturday). I can't wait.

My buddy and I drove up to the local cruise at a Lowes. NO ONE was there! It appears it was "called" because of the approaching rain. Wimps.

Getting up real early tomorrow for a quick trip to the Carlisle Swap meet. Hope I find some needed stuff.

Ruby got a waterless wash quickie bath in prep for tomorrow's cruise up to the open house at my tuner then over to a cruise-in at Fontanel (former home of Barbara Mandrel now great music venue, restaurant & event site). Some of the club crew are starting out at a Cars & Coffee event but it is too far from me, would require me to get up too early & all 3 events is just too long a day for me. Have a great evening & weekend gang.

Up & having my coffee before heading out to spend the day with my club buds! Had to turn on the heat for the first time this morning. It was a little below 40 in the wee hours & only 43 now. Only supposed to hit 60 with a stiff breeze so time to get the jacket out. Have a great Saturday crew.

Concerning the transmission software fix. Picked up the auto Thursday afternoon after I spoke to the service rep and he told me they had updated the transmission software, test drove and shifting improved. We I arrived I gave another service advisor my name and his computer screen only indicated 'Release'. No paperwork etc. Friday received a call and was told their records indicate I did not pay. I wasn't asked to pay anything. Bill $130 and about $14 for tax etc. Said I have no issue paying as work needed to be done but why did I have to pay because still have my drive train warranty and it was determined there was an issue with the transmission. The service rep said he would call me back.

I admit when I checked the car in at 8 AM, the morning service rep did say there might or might not be a $130 charge but did not ask for further clarification at the time as I wanted the transmission fixed. He also mentioned the FOB recall, I declined, he said they would have me sign the recall waiver which also never happened.

I will report back later when I get clarification on the bill (or no bill). If they say I do have a bill, of course I will pay on my way to work Tuesday morning as I drive by the dealership. Only thing I can think of is there is no charge for warranty work on parts but warranty does not cover software required to fix the transmission. Did not have to pay three years ago when they replaced the TCM part and as I understand software for the TCM part is installed at the factory. Just have to wait and see.

We had a very nice day. Just a bit chilly but not too bad. Here are a few pics from Fontanel. I'll come back & post up a link to more pics from today.

Hope all goes well with that Jan. I've had to do that too.

Thought I would gain weight while away last week, but I actually lost a pound and have reached losing 40 LBS! Took a little under 3 months to do. I'm sure the next 40 LBS will take much longer. Being smaller makes air travel much easier.

Gotta wash Claire's car. It's filthy!

Sorry to hear this Jan. I know what your going thru. I hope you have some responsible people to help you get it done easily enough and not make it harder on you. Is this the house you were raised in?

House & farm I was raised in/on. We all become attached to the places & things of our childhood. However, I submit that when you were raised on a farm, tilling the soil, harvesting the crops, tending the animals plus playing outdoors more than many kids, the level of attachment is greatly amplified. Now it comes down to the need to ensure my dad's ongoing quality of care given that he could live a good 5 or even 10 years depending on selling the remaining house & land. The house needs a good bit of work (New HAVC, ventilation system for Radon, some work to ensure the basement does not leak, and some work to the hard wood floors & probably some upgrades to the electrical system). It is solidly built, has a new roof, full basement with den, garage & laundry area, & also a carport. There is around 22-23 acres left of the property. It is in a very highly in demand area in a very fast-growing place. It should sell well if we can just get someone trustworthy to help us market it properly who won't screw us over.

We got a lot done: Ripped out the way past worn out carpet to reveal the wonderfully preserved hard wood floors, cleaned out the attic basement, the house & the shed. Nearly filled a huge dumpster. Now comes the hard part...................selling it.

It would be great if you had the time to do this yourself & cut out the 2 middle people on your end of the sell. But god luck Jan.
