Glad you are feeling good about your work! That is a god feeling. I managed to get all my documentation done at work today So I feel a bit the same.

I had a nice surprise awaiting me when I got home. A check from LS Fest! I beat one person a girl in an SS but I guess that was enough to finish a bit in the money. Here is a repost of the one win video & the check. One of my club members came in second in the 5th Gen division. I bet he got a sweet check!

Jan --- Congrats on the win !!!

I had sort of a win myself. Took the 57 Corvette to the Mid America Motorworks (large corvette aftermarket supplier) Fun Fest 2014. I was choosen by the owner of the company to receive the "Chiefs Choice Gold Medal" winner on the final day.

Said he picked me out when I waived at him as he was returning back to his house in his corvette that morning. I do not trailer it -- I always drive it. I guess that must have impressed him that I drove it 50 miles to the show.

The following is a link to their website for the event.

Link to their website: http://www.corvettefunfest.com/

It was a fun day and got to talk corvettes with a lot of nice people.
Just like the Camaro people.

Wow, I just got farther back in the blog and saw Ricks pictures. Most outstanding !!

John

Congrats on the wins and the $75 Jan and ragzl1!

Tomorrow is the first day of fall, and it will be about 102° here. Gotta continue moving the 7 tons of landscape stones that were delivered today. Moved all of the river rock (the bigger stones) and some of the brown stones. Spent lots of time in the spa tonight.

Nice, Jan. Does that mean you're now a professional drag racer?

Heh . . . if you added that as a title in small lettering under your name on your nameplate at your day job, how long do you think it would take before management noticed?

Oh Boy, if I show hubby that pic he'll probably start drooling! Nothing he enjoys more than time with his two best friends, his Shovel & Wheelbarrow! I think he just reached the 100 Yard Mark, and he's still ordering a few more dump truck loads! Well at least it keeps him out of trouble, just wish it would wear him out, he still has too much energy.

Yeah, it was $75 but even $25 unexpected dollars would have still been nice.

That does make the second check I have gotten for drag racing with the first being for 2nd place at C5 Fest; but I hardly think that qualifies as being a Pro LOL. The girl I beat this time seemed to think she was a pro though. She had a racing suit on. Maybe she underestimated me in my lowly V6. I don't know who she was, just teasing a bit. I'd actually like to have one of those suits though I want separate pants & shirt. Never was a fan of overalls.

The folks at work do think I am a bit crazy. They know about my drag racing. I rather like being a little different.

I overslept some this morning & it was the dreaded 7:00 AM C5 down time before I was on-line so of course I could not post then. HAGD all.

I think the back yard is finally done. Work started in April.

Later on, I'll build a wall around the pool equipment.

Nice job.

Right now, I'd give that hammock higher priority over any little wall. You've earned it.

Good evening crew. I was a kind of busy day but not too bad. Traffic both to & from work were awful though. I have some computer documentation work to do now.
