It's been rough hanging out by the pool these past few nights. Mosquitos have been biting me like crazy. Haven't been bothered by them in years! All of this rain has brought them out in force.

Our first ban of rain from Odile came through tonight. Hope my drainage trench works well as we are to receive several inches of rain through Thursday. El Niņo lives.

I hear you loud and clear about those 'skeeters, Rick. Any outdoor work I do, waits for the sun to get a little higher in the sky in the morning, and I lose over an hour at the other end of the day when they wake up again. Right now, they've been slowing progress regarding a few repair & maintenance items on the 1995 Mazda 626 that's going to our oldest granddaughter (she'll be its second owner). They aren't difficult tasks, just that there's been kind of a critical path for sequencing them, and parts don't ever seem to get in early in the day or come in together.

Try what my hubby does, he buys a big bottle of Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, I think it's called Braggs, it will last a month and a half or so and cost about $6. Then get yourself a small clove of garlic.

Ok, now take a coffee cup of water, 6 oz or so is plenty, nuke till warm, and add about a tablespoon of the vinegar, one TBS in the beginning and you can increase the amount every week or so, but you'll never need to exceed two or three TBS's.

Peel the garlic clove, slice about the thickness of a nickel and then cut each slice like tic tac toe, so you end up with small little pieces. Stir your vinegar warm water, grab some of the cut garlic and take a quarter or so of the garlic and swallow like a vitamin. You won't even taste the garlic, repeat till the garlic is gone and finish the water.

The vinegar water doesn't taste good, but that's why you start off using only a TBS. But the rewards are ten fold. First for losing weight it can't be beat! Have it before a meal and it will lessen the amount of carbs your body absorbs. It will boost your energy, and really crank up your immune system.

Lastly and what I think is the most important effect, it makes your body's PH more alkaline! Illness cannot survive in an alkaline state, if you are more acidic you are more prone to illness. Been at least 20 yrs since my hubby has had so much as a cold. He swears by it. Best part, it is soooo inexpensive and has Zero side effects.

It will be the Best $6 you ever spent. On Dr Oz yesterday they talked about having tomato juice after a meal because it makes the body more alkaline, and they mentioned apple cider vinegar does the same thing, but should be taken before the meal.

You'll be able to "Skinny" Dip all nite long and not one bug bite!

I'll have to try that Normagene. The skeeters are unrelenting.

No rain yet, looks like my area of the valley will miss the tropical storm rain. That's fine with me. And so far, our weekend plans will not be affected.

Just be careful if you have low blood pressure because it can really lower it, great if you have high blood pressure. Works better than most big pharma scripts.

We have all of this rain to thank for that. But it's not too bad out here tonight. Probably because it is breezy. Made swimming chilly.

Hmm, shrinkage? Hope you were alone, that wouldn't exactly be "impressive".
