Glad all is well with you Rick. Been seeing that mess in the news.

It is a foggy morning here & I am still tired from the weekend. I have a stupid training right in the middle of the day today so I have to go in, see a couple of clients, drive to the other side of town, sit through a boring training, drive back across town, see a couple more clients before finally getting to come home. How stupid is it of them to put the training right in the middle of the day? Plus it is over lunch and while they will possibly provide some food, it is doubtful I can eat any of it but can't count on there being a microwave available so not sure what I will be able to eat today. I will take as many snacks as I can but I HATE being hungry. I dread the ordeal. Have a good day crew.

I have to be careful what I eat too. Some people will say, "go ahead and eat it, it won't kill you". But when I am concentrating on losing weight, I usually do not give in. If I give in once, I'll give in again. Got too far to go right now.

Drove the car on city streets like a crazy man on a mission. Maneuvered more 'U' turns at intersections today than in the last ten years combined. Felt like an old fart attempting drifting while making u-turns.
Returned all the modems & stuff I had from one provider for my internet, cable TV, home phone. After 11 years this provider pissed me off because I lost all my on-demand channels 5-1/2 weeks ago which I use much to keep up with TV series (many!). Think TV view on-demand best technical advance in the 21st century. Four visits from their technical people, nothing resolved, I was finished. Could not return all the ex-providers equipment fast enough.
Bell Canada came in this morning and in under 4-hours changed my internet, home phone, TV service to fiber. I feel so modern and up-to-date. This weekend will spend time programming my favorite TV channels as don't want to scroll through 400 channels when I only watch 80. Remember back in the day when you felt in touch with ten channels?

Jan, concerned about you energy level. If I am not mistaken, you work more or less 9-5, five days a week and then bring your work home with you to finish writing the days reports. I could understand this schedule if you were in business for yourself (been there done that).

I blitz teaching my design classes a few times a week. Min. six mugs of coffee in the morning starting at 5-6 AM before classes while I review emails and web forums. Classes start at 9 AM, then three-four 10-min. cig breaks until about 4 PM. Seldom breakfast, never lunch. I might feel mentally tired but not physically tired. Typically I can only sleep 5-6 hours but wake up 3-4 times a night so can not say I get restful sleep. I drink and smoke too much, serious bad eating habits when I eat, but seldom feel physically tired or have a low energy level. I am hypoglycemic, I am 63, and I can literally go 18-hours a day full-tilt-boogie on one meal a day when I am focused. But only for 3-days in a row before I need to mentally de-stress, not because of physical stress. Granted you might live to be a 100. I might drop dead any day now in class and freak out the students (OK). If I drop dead during an extended holiday then I just stink up the apartment and freak out the cats (not OK).

Just concerned. Have you spoken to your doctor about your energy level?

I have to leave the house at 8:00ish to go to work. Need to get up between 5:30 & 6:00 AM to manage that. Earlier if possible. I end up going to bed between 10:00 & on a bad day midnight. So in a good night I get 7 1/2 hours sleep, on a bad night 4 hours. Neither is enough for a healthy person. I have a drive of between an hour & 1 hr 20 min & coming home it can take up to 1 hr 45 min. When I get home I have chores to do, eat, & sit down to do my notes. My body is missing my workouts that were 2-3 days a week after work for 1 to 1 1/2 hour and pretty intense. I have gained over 10 lbs, have much more stress in an already stressful job & much less social support. My blood pressure is up and meds had to be changed. It is not at all surprising to me that I am tired all the time.

Then when I play................I play hard. Last weekend (Fri, Sat & Sun) we had to get up early drive 1 hr 15 to Bowling Green, Ky spent the whole day walking around the track & racing, drove back, unpacked & repacked for the next day & did it all over. Saturday we do it again except this time the track is local.

Today all my clients showed up, I testified via phone for 2 hours & now I have a ton of documentation to do. I'll be up late. Clients all day tomorrow then have to come home, wash the car & get everything packed up & ready to go for Saturday. I'm a busy girl & not a spring chicken anymore.

What a nice crisp cool fall-like morning it is today. It was about 65 & low humidity. It is going to be a perfect day for drag racing tomorow. I am hoping to better my time from LS fest by a good bit with the favorable conditions especially as hte evening runs happen with even cooler temps. I will keep my spare tire in this time as that track tends to get dewy & slick in the evenings. Should not be a bad day for washing Ruby this evening also. I have a more busy day than usual scheduled in Springfield today which is good. I just hope they show up! HAGD all.

Well Ruby had her bath. I will get up in the morning & give her a good detailing & get things packed up for a long day at the track. I only have 2 notes to do from today then down for a good night's sleep.
