Jan...amazed at following your mods. You say perhaps next "paint"! What are your thoughts?
Rick...for 20+ years as a designer dealt with contractors and from experience the stress can age you. Designed casino and resort hotels and dealing with hotel contractors was easy compared to residential contractors. During my time as a practicing designer I was published a few times. The most memorable time I was 'published' was front page in the Dallas newspaper Home section with lots of pictures. I entered a contest "worst contractor experience" and I won! Moved to Dallas & bought a multi-level contemporary urban condo. Being a designer with many years experience I had to make changes. Had many issues with this contractor living in dust and construction for more than a year. Remember one night while living in one room cats playing in gyp board dust and thought what in hell was I thinking. One time I was in New Orleans on business and cat sitter called me in a panic because one cat disappeared (rushed home, and late night tore out new walls and floors to finally find contractor had accidently walled up my black cat...cat pissed). Best story with this contractor is when contractor ripped out my interior stairs because I wanted a new configuration and new design. Came home from work, no stairs between floors, but stair debris piled on my balcony. Weeks passed, no one showed up to build new stairs. Excuse...contractor only wanted his best finish carpenter to work on my stairs but carpenter had a dust allergy and was out sick because he was present during removal of my staircase. Contractor did not understand my issue living in a multi level condo without stairs because he left me 'his ladders' so I could climb between floors for 3 weeks. In time, when enjoying your new pool, hope you can laugh at your experience.

Edit: Trying to fix this post & accidentally deleted it. I will try to re-write it as best I recall.

I want the sides of the raised area on the hood striped with the deep grey metallic from the 45th anniversary edition. Also that same color on the elongated diamond area at the lower door. I want to add either a Heritage grill or ZL1 grill and an MPD1 spoiler in the same color. Maybe some highlight pin stripes (pearl?) & I want a Ruby on her somewhere. Then all the paint flaws (chips, swirls, scratches, orange peel effect, etc) corrected, the whole car re-clear coated & add clear bra to protect the nose & lower body parts. Then some under hood & interior touches.

Jan, just a thought. Your existing color beautiful. Step back and not over embellish. Think keep it simple. Think unique and one of a kind. Your mods have made your Camaro a 'sleeper' so why not keep your custom paint understated?

You want stripes so here is something to consider. Consider "ghost stripes". Do Stripes in your body color but with a little Pearl. Only in some light conditions your stripes will 'ghost'.

Just a thought. Please don't over embellish your beautiful Camaro. Your are at the point of going from a slick high performance sleeper to something overly tricked out.

Years ago I had a lady friend in PA horse country. Old money. She once told me when you get dressed up to go out, take a look in the mirror and remove one accessory because most likely you over did it. She was right. As a designer sometimes I over did it. But I remember what she told me, I step back, remove stuff that is not necessary. Easy to over design, difficult to step back and keep it classic.

The only number that really matters is Body Fat %. Fat is the killer, leads to heart disease, cancer, and all the bad stuff that accompanies illness. Getting and keeping your body alkaline is the key. Cancer cells cannot survive in an alkaline body, it has to be acidic. Hubby chops up raw garlic then pours a little raw apple cider vinegar in a cup of warm water and swallows the chopped garlic like a vitamin.

It's no wonder he never gets sick. He does that right before having dinner, and no stinky garlic smell because he doesn't chew it. Now if he can only stop munching on the all the junk food.

Hahaha, the other end, no actually it doesn't. And the apple cider vinegar is really good for the stomach. But just make sure you use only a small amount of cider in the beginning, it is powerful stuff. Mixed with warm water it's just easier to drink. If you have reflux problems, the best thing is 2oz of pure 100% aloe vera mixed with 2oz of pure 100% pomegranate juice. Drink first thing every morning and it will get rid of the reflux. Inexpensive just like the garlic and cider, yet both work wonders.

I hear ya. Those are just some of the thoughts. I told my guy I want it to be subtle, not jump out at ya but when you get close be...............WOW! I just want the lines of the car accented, nothing to break them up, I like dark grey with burgundy, I like pearl like a highlight and she needs a Ruby of some sort somewhere. There will be a lot of planning before I do it.

It took me until a little past midnight to finish my work notes so I am exhausted! Much coffee needed! Mike had to do CPR on a client yesterday & the client died. He knew his days were numbered due to cancer but he was not in hospice care & had been doing some better in the last few days. Mike had talked to him on the phone just a few minutes earlier but he was unresponsive & breathing shallowly when Mike arrived at his house & deteriorated from there. He has had a number of his clients die over the years but this is the first time it was in his presence & with him doing CPR. He will now face reports he will have to do & in a few days a team review. He was pretty upset about it.

Have a good day everyone.

Forgot to mention on that garlic and vinegar thing, start off w/a small clove of garlic and work your way up to a big ol clove, especially come winter when the germs run wild.

It's also great this time of year because it keeps the Ticks and Mosquitoes away. As well as pretty much all parasites. Then again I tell hubby the reason he never gets sick is because nobody will go near him cause he Stinks like garlic. To which he responds, "as long as it works".

Actually swallowing it chopped up with a gulp of vinegar water I'm impressed on how you don't really smell any garlic.

I busted my butt to get all my documentation done before leaving work today to go to a cruise-in, the first one ever, in my home town. It was a bust. Just didn't happen. I went by on the way home & say one classic car cruise by but no one was there. Went home, changed clothes, ate some supper & went back, same thing, saw a couple of folks cruise by, no one there. Cruised around town a while & came back by, still no one. Tent was set up, hay bails, an old cop car under the tent, but no one there. So I went home. They should have known better than to try to have a cruise in on a Wednesday night in the Bible belt. LOL

Well at least I got all my work done & got to do a little cruising in Ruby. She sure does sound & run good! Sweet dreams crew.

Middle of the week cruises are tough.

Started painting our master bathroom today. Spent three hours masking everything up. Gotta protect all of that new tile. This room was remodeled several months ago and I'm just now getting around to painting it.

Since I became a squeaky wheel with the pool builders, they have been calling ME with updates. We'll see if this actually happens, but we may be filling the pool Saturday. Pebble Sheen will be applied Friday followed by acid wash and polishing on Saturday. Hoping they actually deliver!

Looking for something else the other day I came across one of my most prized possessions. It is a picture of my wife of 31 years with my first Camaro. Though you old farts might enjoy seeing it.
