it depends on the intended use of the rifle. I would not put it on my 20" barrel with bi-pod rifle that shoots sub MOA.

but on a 14.5" barrel riffle and looking at targets 100 yds or closer, it will get you on target sooner. Eotechs have no magnification, this guy has about the same use with a different format.
