We had storms blow through here this evening dropping 2 7/8" of rain in my yard. I have to work on drainage on one side of the pool. Oh, and there is 6" of water in the pool and spa.

I guess there's more than one way to get that concrete pond filled!

Good Sunday morning crew. Not much on the agenda today except going to visit my dad. It is another steamy summer day here. Time for me to get going. Have a good Sunday.

All the rain last night is making for a humid day.

Went to the Glendale Just Sell It Automotive Swap Meet this morning. Nothing really worth buying, but I did buy a t-shirt. It's a rather small swap meet, but once in a while I find something cool.

After 3 weeks, I have lost 13 lbs! Our trip to the Grand Canyon last weekend set me back a bit, but I've more than made up for it. At least I am no longer experiencing extreme hunger episodes. I mean, I would eat lots of food at one meal, then be hungry again a few hours later, and eat lots again. That seems to be under control now.

Still have lots to losing left to do.

Really! What happened, did like 13 pounds just fall off a cliff or something. Hope it didn't hit anybody on the way down, that's a long long ways down. Wonder if made like a "Splat" sound? Can you imagine the poor guy hiking along in the Grand Canyon who finds this 13 pound glob. Yikes!

I had a pretty good day. I decided to drive Ruby up to Clarksville to see my dad & got to do a little spirited driving with her new headers, tune & sway bars - Permagrin boosted!

When I got there to see Daddy he was in the common area singing church songs & I got to sing harmony with him which I miss a lot. He told me I looked pretty & asked if I needed a spanking patting my butt in humor. Daddy was oddly aware of his cognitive difficulties today commenting a few times on how he has trouble expressing himself. He talked again about his parents wanting to know when they died & what they died of, talking about missing Mama & asking about the grandkids (though he kept calling them his kids but clearly he meant the grandkids) and just random things that made no sense. A friend from our church came by while I was there to give dad the Lord's Supper. Daddy called him by name & Bobby said daddy always knows his name. That is good. It was a nice visit.

Mike went creek fishing with our neighbor. They used to go a lot but not so often anymore. Then we cooked out some hamburgers. It had been a hot day but cooled of in time for us to eat outside. Pretty nice day overall. But I dread going back to work.

Here is a pic of one little addition to the back deck:

Good morning crew. I sure did not want to get out of bed after getting to sleep in for a few days. I definitely need my coffee this morning. Have a good day & work week.

For both you and Jan, I know quite well that pain tolerance can be a two-edged sword. Lots of times it gets you through times of discomfort, but there is some risk of being able to ignore something you shouldn't just because "it doesn't hurt bad enough to need any help".

Jan - now you'll really have to get that car out on the road course over at Bowling Green when they get it up and running. That on-ramp would have been so much more fun with a GoPro and no truck to catch up to .

Rick - I was all set to flip a coin about whether Ma Nature would fill the pool or if the first party you get to host there will be a skating party (and some other hot place will have also frozen over). Still not sure.

I took today off to make a long weekend. We took the trailer to Cleveland and went to ball games on Saturday and Sunday. The Indians won both games and Sunday was the season ticket holder event where after the game we meet the players and coaches and have an autograph session. It was fun. I slept in today and came home to this. Apparently there was some wild weather here Saturday evening. I went out and bought a chain saw and it's all cleaned up now. I will have to put off mowing the lawn till tomorrow as I am too tired to do it tonight. Name: uploadfromtaptalk1407195011555.jpg

Sorry! I know that will be a PITA to deal with & leave your tree looking sad.

I had a busy day but had just enough folks not show up to get much of my work done. Just one note to do. But I am tired. Not used to this getting up early after 4 days off.

As long as I am not toting it around in my mid-section, I don't care.

I'm not sure when or what kind of party I'll be hosting.

That sucks. Returning from vacation to find a project is not fun.

Sounds like an EXTRA coffee morning.

Had a relaxing day cleaning up Claire's car, doing the inside and outside. Two road trips with two teens and monsoon storms made for a very dirty car. Did some other crap around the house too.

No pool work for today, but I actually received a proactive call from the builder (first time!) saying they will be out tomorrow.

Gotta get up REAL early Tuesday to take my son's friend to the airport in time for a 6 AM flight back to Maryland. He stayed here two weeks.

Fat Hubby's starting a strict workout routine this week. Wants to put on some muscle and get the body fat down. Think he's 'round 190 now, well we'll see how long he goes without Icecream, cookies, chips, burgers, fries, milk shakes, pizza, pasta w/some sorta super thick heart attack sauce, oh and can't forget his favorite Chocolate! Seems determined! Though it tends to be easier said than done.

I'll let ya know how he does, goes for his annual physical in four weeks!

I wish I was 190 lbs. Still have a long way to my goal, which I may adjust down when I arrive at my present goal.

Good morning crew. I am encouraged after getting good news from my tuner yesterday. Ruby was pulling timing between 90 & 100 MPH on the dyno and sort of falling on her face at that point but he said this:

The timing was only doing that on the dyno, didn’t do it on the street. We did a 0-100mph pull and everything looked perfect!! I have seen cars do some different things on the dyno that they don’t do on the street, usually the torque converter, but in your case I think it was load based. I’ll get all your stuff together this week.

I am interested to see what the numbers looked like on the street.

Time to get myself going. HAGD all.
