Good plan. Don't let the funeral today stop you from calling. I still want to try to meet up if we can. Sounds like you are enjoying your stay. Glad the weather is nice & not the usual oppressive heat & humidity this time of year.

Please excuse me if I don't know all your names as I have only been on this thread for a few months. Please understand my dry Texas humor:
Ruby Camaro: Wrist / hand pain can develop into a serious medical issue. DO NOT REPORT TO YOUR EMPLOYER until you have consulted with your doctor. Sad but true, after reading your past posts, you are at an age when your employer could fire you (phase you out). Age decimation is real. You have to cover your ass. Your employer might fire you (phase you out) because of perceived health issues that might cause increase on their health care coverage. Be smart, do not file an issue with your employer regarding health until you can back it up with a doctor that pain issue might be job related. Without medical backup, your employer might just phase you out, only because you are old and filing health related claims.

Pool guy: I am a designer, 30 years experience dealing with contractors both commercial & residential. You are being screwed. Suggest you contact both your local BBB and contact your state Attorney General office. Your GC is full of crap from what you posted. Once you file a complaint with local BBB, and your State Attorney General office, you might be surprised how fast your GC finishes your pool. You are getting the classic contractor #uc* over lame excuses. Dealt with these excuses for 30 years. Stop letting this GC #uc* you over. Be proactive and contact your local BBB and States Attorney General office. Document every date a subcontractor was on your site and what work done (finished or not finished).

Ruby Camaro is Jan, Pool Guy (me) is Rick. I've started down that road, but no results as of yet. I called the superintendent again today and informed him the electrician did not come yesterday as slated and never came today. He acted totally surprised and said he would call me back in 10 minutes. Naturally he did not. Oh well, I will continue to be the squeaky wheel until this hole in the ground is done.

You got it Skip! Hoping for great results for you.

I am so glad I went to the service today for my uncle Dick. It was beautiful. There were no tear jerking church songs, no long winded preachers reading long winded sermons. Oh, there were a few bible verses and prayers & a few choked back tears but mostly there was a touching tribute to a very giving man who gave endlessly to anyone in need, constantly gave joy to others with his humor, creativity, craftsmanship and knowledge, served his community in both law enforcement then as a fire fighter, and was devoted to his family and creating a loving, fun and happy life for them and everyone he touched.

He was carried to his final resting place lovingly by firefighters aboard the antique fire truck he helped to restore. His daughters rode in one of his antique cars. Fire engines & law enforcement vehicles blocked all intersections saluting him, a high bucket fire truck suspended a flag over the street, firefighters ceremoniously folded & presented the flag from his coffin, the bell on the fire truck tolled for him then doves were released. Here are a few pics & a tiny video of the dove release.
