I agree that food is fuel. But a meal should be enjoyed. I cook because it gives me pleasure to watch others enjoy my labors. Everything in moderation can be good. I grill almost every night and post on FB my labors as others enjoy seeing them. Even though I have gained some pounds since quiting smoking I still think in moderation all things can be enjoyed.

So far I'm hanging in there with not much difficulty. It's pretty easy to be distracted and not think of eating when I'm active. But I have a desk job, so we'll see what happens tomorrow.

I spent a lazy day at home today. Thought about doing several things but only baked some cookies & a few house chores. Bed time now & back to work in the morning. Do I HAVE to?????? Oh, Okay, If I HAVE to.

Good morning. No rain yet. Supposed to be scattered stuff through the day. Then storms later. They have moved the expected arrival of the storms to a little later this evening so maybe I'll get home & maybe zandron will make it into town before they hit. Safe travels though zandron. Now I need coffee. Have a good day everyone.

Good evening crew. I had a fairly busy day. Drove home in fairly heavy rain then it cleared up. Now h te heavy line of storms is moving through. And made me miss the best part of the last episode of 24! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Lousy timing! Guess I'll have to watch it again Friday night. Didn't record it because I didn't think I needed to.

I did not hear from zandron yet. I hope they made it in & got set up before this line of storms came in. Have a good evening crew.

Storms missed us yet again. At least other parts of the valley are getting rained on.

I did better today than yesterday on my weight loss quest. Got on the elliptical for an hour as I used to every morning. And this evening, I felt much better than I have in a long time, so I actually did stuff! I've wanted to move my satellite radio doc in my Dakota. It was taking up space in one of the cup holders, so I moved it to the console and put the cup holder back in its place. One cup holder is not enough in that truck.

I enjoy the permagrins.

Sunday I attended the Dragon Festival at Lake Phalen, a Twin Cities celebration of Asian culture. I was given the opportunity to Americanize it a little bit by letting 70+ kids, some a little older, have pictures taken in the car with permagrins. Brings the total of permagrins to over 500 since May 2013.

That's cool. Kids do love our cars.

We got a LOT of heavy rain last night & lost TV reception but that was about it. Hopefully Zandron weathered the storms okay. After this he will enjoy possibly record-breaking mild temps in Nashville. A local news agency captured a spectacular pic of lightning in downtown Springfield very near where I live. I'll repost it here. Have a good day.

I did make it in and just got the camper set up before the storms hit. Then we had a quick dinner and went to the Bluebird Cafe and saw a really good blues band. Luckily we were under an awning while waiting in line for the Bluebird and the lightning show was spectacular at times. Looking forward to the nicer weather for the rest of the week.

Today I think we will take the hour ride north and go check out the Corvette museum in Bowling Green. Then we have Opry tickets at 7. I will probably check out the Jack Daniels distillery sometime this week as well. I will call you tomorrow Jan and we can try to set up a get together on Wed or Thursday.

Sounds like a good plan. Have fun. Careful of the crazy Nashville drivers!

Yup, kids sure do like these cars.

Minus 6 lbs (cumulative) today. And this is the second night in a row I feel as though I'm firing on all 8 cylinders. Haven't felt this good in months.

Had 20 minutes of work done on the pool build today. They hooked up a gas line from the spa heater to the gas line. Still have to hook the other end into the utility pipe. I am told the electrician will be out tomorrow. Not holding my breath though.

I just now finished my notes from work today. I have done something to my left wrist & it hurts like he!!. Tried to file a first report of work related injury even though I don't know what I did to it I sure know when it started hurting...........while I was at work. I did not have time to finish it as I was just too busy. I did not feel quite right all day today but could not put my finger on just what was up. Now I am beat. Heading to bed & & hoping for a better day tomorrow.
