A little more to it for me. And there is a little more to why we didn't go.

No problem! As I said, was just picking a little bit... and are you doubting my 1.5 hours to get my hair done?

Hopefully the day went well for y'all!

We had a productive day working hard around the house while you guys were out having a lot of fun! I got the kitchen bay windows washed (no small job), house chores, some yard work and washed & waxed the truck finishing up with grilling some steaks on the little grill.

Here are a couple of pics; me kicked back in my anti gravity chair checking out the nice clean truck, Mike checking out his pond & our reward for a day of hard work..........steaks!

That grillin' looks good!

I've decided I have grown huge, too embarrassed to mention my weight. Today I have started taking action. Won't go into details what I am doing, but I will only mention that it worked very well in the past and, well, I just lost track over the years. I have a lofty goal, and will do my best to obtain it.

Why can't we eat whatever we want?!

Because food is not entertainment as we Americans have come to see it. It is fuel for our bodies. You can't put jet fuel in your Camaro and expect it to run right. Eat clean. Stay away from jars, boxes, bags & cans. Eat real food cooked from scratch. Get rid of simple carbs, increase your low fat protein intake, eat lots of fruits & veggies (not starchy ones) & drink lots of water. You will be amazed. Sleepy time for me now.

<inhale> . . . "AHHHHH"

The good side of food as entertainment. And no association with jars, boxes, bags or cans.

Good morning crew. I slept late again today then had coffee & Banana pancakes and just finished cleaning out Ruby's cage. It is going to be even more miserably hot & humid here today so not much outdoors work today. I just cannot take the heat like I used to be able to. Probably will just hang out in the house. Then later may run out & do a bit of shopping & go visit my dad. It is supposed to be rainy tomorrow then stormy later in the day. That will set up a couple of days of cooler temps. HAGD everyone.

My daughter and my sister always say to stay out of the middle aisles of a grocery store and to concentrate on the outer perimeter. Except for the bakery at our local Safeway, they are correct.

BTW, I believe it is a fluke and I'm not going to claim success, but I shed 4 lbs already, so the scale says. Maybe it is water (I doubt it since I drink so much) or maybe the scale wants to make me happy.

Enjoy posts from Old Farts. Refreshing just to hear about day to day life and not just juvenile postings on some other C5 threads.

Pictures of suburban life I love.

Me, pain from torn muscle becoming manageable, starting to slack off pain meds.

I have too much free time. When I lived in Qatar, as a prof, designed jewelry for a hobby (very long story). Last week when taking pain meds decided one of my ring designs sucked. So I contacted a few jewelers to help me redesign a ring I have not worn for a decade. Bottom line found out my crap ring that I designed is worth about $19,000. So no longer thinking of spending a few thousand to redesign a ring I would never wear. Just leave it in the bank box.

Then, having sweet pain pills last week, talked to brother in the states. He handles my stocks as I am clueless. Older brother is evil. He knows I have a passion for a 1963 or 1966 T-Bird convertibles. Evil brother sent me a link to a serious over priced 1966 Bird conv. in his city. Now I am in negotiations to buy a 1966 Bird convertible. We are about $10,000 difference between asking price and my offer. Not going to be stupid regarding buying another car regardless of how many pain meds I take.
This was my week in a snapshot.

Get you some scales that measure body content by water, muscle, fat and lbs. Then when you lose you will know if you lost water (nothing), muscle (bad) or fat (good).

We have that kind of scale. I'd be careful about assigning much importance to the displayed variations except over a longer time. Once I realized that when nearly every time fat % dropped the water % went up, and that the total of the two remained astonishingly constant, I quit using all those extra features (not worth the time it took to activate them). Incidentally, when I turned up another birthday and reset my profile information to suit, bone% dropped a tenth of a percent over the few minutes it took to do the reset. At that rate, I should have long since become Jellyfishman.
