Old far pain.

Hate old fart pain.
Last Wed. when I was putting on my pants to go to diner with the Ottawa car guys, Ramses my big Arab cat decided to rub on my black jeans. So I went to the bathroom, put on jeans, raised my leg to tie my shoe. Felt something pop in my neck. Thought, I pulled a muscle in my neck, old age and not so limber. Not so bad for the first few hours.

Long story short, a week later massive pain on my left side from left arm to top of my head on left side. Take a deep breath, sharp pain shoots up to top of head. Today even started taking a half a pill of a two year old oxie prescription (do not like taking pain pills). Since this morning had 1-1/2 of the old oxie pills and pain has become distracting. Perhaps more then a little distracting. Working on the computer for about five hours today developing a new course for the fall. Old oxie's and two vodka tonics, pain has become massive. Can not move my head more than 1-inch without massive sharp pain. Damn, I thought I pulled a muscle a week ago putting on a shoe to avoid Ramses fur on my black jeans.

Guess I will have to buck up and go to hospital emergency room in the morning and wait for hours. Hate going to doctors.

Here in Canada have social healthcare. I do have additional healthcare coverage, do not have a personal physician so in the morning off to the emergency room and wait hours.

Pissed that I am getting older, raised my leg to put on a shoe (avoiding big fat Arab cat rubbing on my black pants) result is I have to go to hospital in the morning. Today I was really into redesigning my fall 2014 advanced design studio course so I could send the course documents to a person the college hired just to co-teach with me. Today, had to stop revising the course documents because pain became too distracting.

Disclaimer: Not fat cat Ramses fault. He is 26 pounds and currently beside my keyboard. However, if I spell words incorrectly, or use bad grammar, I blame it on Ramses because he wants to lay on my keyboard (LOL).

So sorry to hear about your pain. Please do go to get it checked out. You can't treat what you don't know about. Hopefully it is just something relatively minor & easily treated. Feel better soon!

We are still hearing bits & pieces of the changes set to kick in who-knows-when at work. Today my friend/immediate supervisor related to me in private that it looks like they will remove her from her supervisory position. They will offer her to be a therapist on the team she currently supervises but she plans to move to a therapist position in a school instead. When that happens I will be the lone surviving member of the preschool staff (that is assuming they don't do something else with me). I guess I need to wear some wadding boots to work since the $h!t is getting pretty deep.

Rest well all.

Hope your pain eases up abaucom. Get checked out!

Hope all works out Jan. We had our big town hall meeting today with a representative of our new owners. For now, everything stays the same, but changes are a-coming! Our company name will change in October.

I suspect some upper management positions will be eliminated, so retirements and reassignments will start soon. Already saw one leave for other opportunities.

The rest of us are hoping to have less supervisors. No reason for me to have 5 supervisors who are not coordinated with each other.

Rick I hope your company changes turn out to be for the better & not too difficult on you. Change is always hard though. I just wonder each day what is next.

Good morning crew. We were again missed by yesterday's rain. I watered my flowers that are in pots/boxes but can't really water my front flower garden as our front spickett has developed a leak & had to be shut off until we can get it fixed. We really need some rain. The southern part of Tennessee got 4-5 inches of rain yesterday. I guess they got theirs & our share of the rain. Mike worked some more on his little water feature project yesterday. I keep forgetting to take pics. Coffee time now. HAGD all.

Jan, I got some frogs for ya from my small pond.

Now for a rant. This was a Camaro Facebook thread I asked a person that is on c5 forums also about anything special we should not miss on our vacation . We'll first a know it all gives his opinion about us taking our 13 yr old daughter . I never ask for his opinion . Then the person I actually was asking the question basically agreed with Mr know it all . This is some place I have been several times, but our daughter has never been there. She is already packed and we don't leave until the end of July. I won't say where the vacation, because I'm sure someone would figure out who the person is that peed me off. Oh yeah our daughter is 13 and we have not been there since 2010. :-)

Damn! I already made this post once & it did not post! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

One more time!

Just another crappy day at work. At this point I don't even listen; I don't care anymore. They will do whatever they do. Just tell me what I am supposed to do. If the worse happens & my position is eliminated, well..............I was looking for a job when I got this one. Right now I have no reason to think that is happening, but when the crap gets deep, who knows. I had some homework tonight & am tired.

Yeah, I'm guessing Vegas too. We took our son several times when he was young. He had fun. He just went back with his sister to celebrate his 21st birthday.

I finally remembered to take some pics of Mike's little pond project. I already have a crop of my own frogs for the pond. I have 3(at least) living in my deck flower pots an they are almost too big for them now. The first 2 pics I took this morning & the last 2 this evening. Sweet dreams all.

I've seen small children in Vegas. I realize a 13 YO is not a small child, but I'm sure you know what is appropriate and what is not.

That project is coming along nicely Jan. I like the statues.

We already had the statues. One had been on the front porch & the other by the shed. Lots of work still left to do on it. I guess we will work on it tomorrow on my day off. I am just sad now that I won't be getting my mods on.

One more day of work then another 3 day weekend. I need some rest. The Camaro club has a cruise planned to the Jack Daniel's distillery but they are planning to leave so darn early, I'm just not sure I want to go badly enough to get up that early. We'll see. I NEED COFFEE!!!!! Have a nice day.

Here is my old pond. I need to thin out the water lily pads. Oh yeah the black pipe seems to keep big bird away.

You realize, of course, that a some point you'll have about a thousand concrete rabbits around that pond.

Nah. But I WILL have about 1000 real rabbits around it. We have plenty of them around already. The birds are already loving it. He got the pump set up today & a few more rocks placed. Little by little it will get done. Here's a pic from today.

And I got great news today. The owner of the shop where my installations & tune is getting done sent me an email offering me a SUBSTANTIAL price reduction since he messed me up on my install/tune date. Now it is worth a couple week delay. More mods coming soon! That made my day. AND now it is my weekend!

Three hours in emergency and it has been determined I tore a muscle so it will take about 6 weeks to heal. Have some great drugs now and will stay home for the next two weeks.
When I was a kid my parents took me to Vegas about six times. I loved it.
