I think 2400 miles from Peoria AZ runs through Ocean City, MD (or thereabouts) . . . the joke would go if they lived in NJ they'd have even less patience.

Nice Norm! Maryland yes, but not OC.

Yes Jan, I agree. But like I said before, I am forever the optimist.

Welcome home Midlife.

I had a busy day today in Springfield. Everyone showed up. I have some work to do but it will wait. I have things to do to get ready for tomorrow's car show. I hope the weather cooperates. They keep increasing the chances of rain. Last I saw it was 50%, but they are the pop-up sort of showers so it could rain hard in one spot & be completely dry across the street. It could be a messy place if it rains. They have over 200 cars pre-registered & lots of folks (like me) won't pre-register because of iffy weather in the summer in Tennessee. Anyway. Ruby is detailed & packed. I need to get to my other tasks. Have a great weekend crew.

Good morning. There are a few light showers in the Clarksville area where the car show is going to be. They should pass through before we hit the road then it is just the luck of the draw if one of the pop-up showers happens to form over us. Crossing fingers & getting ready to head out. HAGD all.

Welcome back Midlife.

Good luck with the weather Jan.

I'm so sick of these trenches on either side if the house. Gonna fill in one (the easy one) and fill in around the gate on the other so I can open the gate and make it less hazardous to walk in and out. There will still be about 60' I'm leaving for them.

So leave them at least 60' . . . and a bill for your labor.

Claire is keeping tabs of all of this stuff I have done, and bought.

By the way! A crew came here today (on Saturday no less!) to install the equipment, which includes the pump, filter, and a big ass heater! Now for those that are now saying, "What the hell do you need a pool heater in AZ for", it's for the spa. BUT, water from the spa spills into the pool, so we could heat the pool in the winter. Natural gas prices are pretty cheap here in AZ.

Great to be home and start my "Part time Job" as Home owners Association cop. AKA VP of assoc and in charge of sending out letters to people who park on their lawn and don't cut their grass.... ect. I may be, eventually the most hated person in the subdivision. But they have not sent out violation letters in 4 months. No wonder no one follows the covenant.
I just went for a walk with my wife and took pictures for our board meeting next week.

I just want to keep my property values up.

Today was great to watch the Cubs lose the first by the pool (while napping) and then go for a walk.
You guys are the first thing I check on line when I get a chance.

Regards
Scott

I'm a member of our Neighborhood Advisory Committee. Luckily, we do not get involved with enforcement.

I have pool equipment now!

Looks like you are really close. What is left? Plaster, tile and clean up.... It looks real nice. My pool is is inground with liner which is much quicker.... 20 / 20 hind site would be gunite pool.... I should have. That pool is going to be sweet.

We did not get rained on today & clouds helped some but the humidity & temp together were oppressive! I was thrilled at the turnout though from our club anyway. But that was a very good thing as many other folks that had planned to attend were scared off by the 50% chance of rain. Very few of the 200+ cars that pre-registered, showed up but their fees will still serve as donations to the cause supporting military personnel & their families. We also took home several trophies including our first club participation award. I was miserable though in the heat. Here is a link to the thread with pics:

That's a nice pool.

The builder does not have that much remaining to finish. Pebble Sheen and tile need to be applied to the gunite, the various cleaning fixtures need to be installed, then fill it and test it. Outside of the pool, the spa heater needs to be hooked up, trenches need to be back filled, and the yard needs to be tidied up. Two more city of Peoria inspections need to be done. If all goes well, we swim!

Jan, I checked out your pics and commented over there.
