That's what I have said before. The Cuda would be sick. The Road Runner would be awesome too but it would probably have to be on a big platform like the Charger was built on. I was watching Pinks All Out this past weekend and someone rolled up in a yellow Plymouth Satellite. Those MOPAR's of that era were just bad ass. The announcer called it a Ford Satellite, I had to laugh at that one.

Slow to kick down, not sharp or slick at all, total POS transmission, thank goodness the 10s get the V8s 5 speed auto! Yeah, not the quickest or the best handling and I would not buy a V6 in any case, but I love the feel! It abosulety feels like a 70s muscle car with a modern suspension, modern steering, and modern brakes, LOVE IT, just not the V6 LOL And are dealers daft? The wanted 29900 for a 09 CHallenger V6 with no options an 18k miles, they also had a used 10 Camaro 1LT with 2600 miles for 34900, CRAZY!!!!!
Oh man, now go drive an R/T. You'll be blown away. Imagine all the "coolness" of the feel and ride with power that'll make you grin from ear to ear. I went out yesterday in mine and it just really makes me proud. I actually played around with a guy in a 1990s era Vette and kinda spooked him I think. He saw me behind him and started getting on it, and I just eased into the throttle enough to stay with him. Finally I pulled along side to give him a wave and he wouldn't even look at me. We ended up side by side at a light and he said "nice car, sounds awesome". The people behind us were yelling "RACE RACE" but alas he just eased out of the hole, so I did as well. I wonder if he was a little worried I might embarrass him?

Have you had the chance to drive an SS? Or previous Gen GTO?

mopar magazine did a "what if" scenario with the road runner. they based it off the 71 i believe. computer generated, but apparently a guy is going to do a one off version of it based off the LX chassis. it looked VERY cool and i know if that would have come out along with the challenger i would have had a very hard time deciding which to get. my dad had a 73 road runner that we fixed up and restored (which i now own) and it would be cool to have new and old road runners side by side in the garage.

I was too young to remember it but have seen many pictures of the 68 Super Bee that my parents bought brand new. They ordered it from a dealer up north, we live in Texas now, and my mom had them put down all of these options that weren't actually offered on the car. The dealer order called for a/c, black vinyl top, turquoise green paint and a couple of other options. The salesman told my dad that he was sure they wouldn't put on 90% of the options he'd listed. They called my dad to the dealership a few months later and there sat a turquoise green Super Bee with a black vinyl top. It had a/c and all of the options my mom had requested. They sold that car in the mid 70's, huge mistake. There is no telling what it would be worth today. It was my mom's car as my dad was driving a 57 Chevy 2 door hard top that he had restored. My older brother told me that my mom smoked a guy on a motorcycle in that Super Bee. I would love to see a couple of more retro versions of the old MOPAR's. My dad and I also restored a 66 Plymouth Sport Fury with a 440 Magnum in it. I went for a few "test drives" in that car and it was just mind numbingly fast. It felt like it could easily pull a house off of it's foundation.

Nice... Kinda looks like a Camaro/Challenger hybrid.

That Road Runner concept and the Charger concept I've seen are gorgeous. Sadly, I think the chances of them hitting the market are slim to none.

I wish I knew why they didn't go with this instead of that 4-door eyesore they place the Charger name on.

Absolutely. I really, really would love to have a true retro Charger, but not that fat 4 door sedan masquerading as one.

Call me crazy but I like the Hemi Orange Challenger SRT8 the best out of any of these ideas.
