I like third gens, especially yellow IROC's. This is sad.

It's been sitting there so long, there is green mold on the left side of the car. It's been sitting there for years. Needs to be cleaned, driven, and enjoyed.

I'm home now. Spent from 7:00 yesterday until about 5:00 today at the hospital with my dad. I am tired. It was sad & tiring, but nice and to be treasured. It is so sad to see him not able to carry on a conversation, or formulate his thoughts into sentences, not recall his own birthday or remember his own parents are dead when he cared for them for the last several years of their lives & watched them both draw their last breaths. But watching the Ellen show today he laughed his always contagious laughter, he smiled & tried to sing Amazing Grace with me & in his sleep both talked in very lucid conversations and sang nicely. It was nice to give back to him. He worked so hard all our lives to give us a nice life. He has now been moved into a step-down care room (he was in something between intensive care & regular hospital room). We are hopeful he will get to go back to his assisted living facility tomorrow sometime.

It is going to be a beautiful day here tomorrow, perfect for a car show. But I am spent & don't feel up to getting up early & sitting out there al day tomorrow. I'll stay home & rest up. Have a good weekend.

I just heard from my sister. This morning the doctor said Dad is getting better but slowly & that he will be in the hospital at least through Monday. So I have to get ready to go back up there to stay with him tonight & tomorrow. So I better get moving. I need to get some chores done & stop & get me some snacks on the way. You can't leave him unattended for a second or he will try to get out of bed, pull out his IV, pull off his monitors, etc. Have a good Saturday crew.

So glad to be home where it is dry. My wife was happy to see me. She was getting bored. She's getting around SO much better now.

Good to hear Rick. Glad you are safely home. It is a beautiful sunrise on Father's a Day morning. Much too pretty to be sitting in a hospital room. But I am with my Dad and he seems stronger this morning. I was able to get him to keep his oxygen on all evening & night, something he had been refusing to do, and I think it is helping. Hopefully he will eat his breakfast when it comes. He would not eat his supper, just the dessert. LOL like a kid. I told him he would not have let me do that.

Happy Father's day to all the dads. Have a great day.

I'm home, unpacked, swept out the garage & watered the flowers. I'm BEAT! My dad is no tiny fellow to be helping out & back into the bed & moving around. Plus little sleep Th & Sat nights. But he is worth it. We got him some little soft sport balls & before I left my older sister & I had him laughing playing a game of catch. I bet I will sleep good tonight. Hope everyone had a nice weekend & Father's Day.

Had a nice Father's Day today. Still stayed busy and did stuff around here. Even did some yard work as it stayed below 100*.

Dad was discharged yesterday & went back to has assisted living facility. My older sister Judy is going to stay with him there until he is strong enough to make it without a lot of assistance. It was a busy morning but slow afternoon at work so I had no homework. That was a good thing as I was spent. I got to leave early. I just gave Ruby a quick waterless wash, watered the flowers, watched 24 & turned in early. Today is the going away party at work for one of the last of my co-workers from when we had the Therapeutic Preschool. She was offered a much better job with the school system. I am glad for her. I wish I could be so lucky. I slept in a bit so need to get moving. HAGD all.

Been a very busy couple of days since returning from vacation. I have tons of catching up at work to do, so I might put in a second night of OT in. Had small progress on the pool today.
