Just play football, Sounds like someone is nervous about playing the Tide. Colt will win the Heisman this weekend, so yadayadayada.

Facts are this Texas has played what appeared to be 3 quality opponents, but not well rounded teams. Oklahoma had a great defense but played with a back-up QB, you see what happened when they got hit in the mouth-fumbles.

Next they played A&M had a pretty good offense but not really a good defense and A&M put points on the board.

Lastly Nebraska, they have a real good defense but their offense was non-exisitent.

In each of these games they did what they had to do to win but I do not think that they have played a TEAM that is well rounded that has a GREAT Defense and a real good offense. Florida had a great offense but it is hard to score on the sideline.

From the few games I have saw on Texas they have 2 maybe three players, Colt Shipley and # 84. Florida found out that it will take a Team to beat Bama.

The last thing I will comment on is Texas Defense, it has been written that they have an outstanding defense against the run based on statistics, which maybe true but the teams they play against do not really run the ball, they throw alot more than run.

We will se in Pasadena, but I just don't think that Texas has saw a TEAM like Alabama that is pretty good in all three phases, They will have their hands full, but anything can happen, that's what is great about college football you never know till you kick off.

An early key is how Texas offense does against Alabama's defense, if they have success they will do well but if they go three and out a couple of times and Alabama drives the ball down their throat with 70, 80 yrd drives, the defense will get wore out by the 4th qtr. Should be a real interesting game power against power. Texas Offense vs. Alabama Defense. JMHO

Sorry, but I'm betting the NC is going to be a slow boring grinder of a game. I'm betting the Sugar and the Rose Bowl will be a lot more interesting to watch.

None, because we are a TEAM, with 12 NC, and you will see Jan 7 what will happen when the Tide Rolls in. As Goldberg says " NEXT"

I will say this about infractions. The text book thing I can understand because the players did not benefit, they were giving textbooks to other students, wrong but I can see it. Alabama suspended these players until the NCAA re-instated them.

Albert Means was wrong, you had desperate coaches trying to make something happen. They paid their price and now it's all good.

But I will say this about the "Holier than Thou attitude" Dude you live in a dream world if you honestly think that this doesn't happen at every major college in the country, every last one of them including your beloved Longhorns, whether it is steriods, textbook, alcohol or even a little pot. Now you can't honestly sit there and say Ricky Williams didn't smoke it up when he was at Texas.

My point is this you can sling mud on every program, but why. These players and coaches both Texas and Alabama had nothing to do with any of that. This should be a great game, two great programs and I beleive 2 great teams. I have never talked bad about Texas program and won't just like I haven't talked bad about Florida and Tebow. Tebow is a great player and a better person, the media has made alot of people dislike him because of all the nonsense attention he got.

So please stop with the rhetoric about dirty programs. It is just a waste of time and gets you nowhere. Texas and Alabama will still play and my the best Team win.

I've come to understand that as SEC football. BORING.

Oregon will be interesting with their extra hurried hurried up offense. Keep it to a 3 hour game at least. And when it backfires it backfires spectacularly so you get a chance to watch an all-star meltdown that you can talk about for 20 years.

lol..."we got beat by a team on probation"...it is starting already...although there are some Longhorn Alumns on this board..I'm glad they dont share that seem weak sentiment. Most of them think that their team will win. Maybe ESPN will do a show on why Bama should not be playing in the NC game and that the NCAA is doing it wrong..lol
