Mike is my beer buddy.
All I have seen so far is a bunch of lightweights. Maybe the power drinkers will come out tonight |

Maybe. With his health problems Mike has to limit his beer to 1-2 a day now. :(

High blood pressure neglected for YEARS while he refused to go to a doctor, caused stage 2 kidney failure & poor circulation/numbness in his extremities, plus he has moderate Coronary Artery Disease in all the arteries, high cholesterol...............shall I go on? That is what happens when you don't go to a doctor for over 40 years. Dumb huh?
Good evening everyone. Slow day at work today, so I decided to do some on-line trainings tht were coming due. The first one & it's test was a piece of cake. The second one.........................not so much. It took me a couple of hours just to read (quickly) through it & I failed the test. Came home ticked off from that frustrating experience. That will call for some....uh, cheating of sorts. Not going to take that stupid test but one more time. But then I watered my flowers, opened the garage doors, turned up the radio, pulled out my zero gravity lounge chair & kicked back & chilled for a while behind Ruby until all was better. Just watching a little TV before hitting the sack. Tomorrow some house chores in the AM, cleaning Ruby up & cruising out to an evening cruise-in. Sleep well.

We're just hanging out here Saturday and Sunday. Right now, I'm out on the patio looking at our big hole in the yard. Supposedly a crew is coming out here today to correct issues and get everything ready to pass inspection.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Today begins my 4 day house, car, yard work blitz. Today was 3 hours of trimming the 2 flowering pear trees in front of my house. Then I repaired some loose landscaping blocks, ran out to buy more flowers, and washed the Camaro. Tomorrow will be planting flowers, and buying and spreading 3 yards of mulch.

What an absolutely perfect evening for a cruise-in! The temperature was just right, very light breeze, lots of cool cars..............nice! I am tired though. I'll hook up the camera & download the pics tomorrow.

Sounds like you guys had productive days. I replaced the satellite radio antenna on my Dakota, went to an eye exam, and did a little yard work. Oh yeah, and no pool crew came out. We were hoping they would, but didn't think they would show up. There have been more unproductive weeks than productive weeks. And with a holiday next week, we'll probably rack up another unproductive week.
Enjoying the night time city light view from the porch while drinking a Mike's Hard Lemonade. Mmmmm

Good morning crew! We had an early morning thunder shower whish was well needed. I won't have to water the flowers today. The rest of the day is supposed to be much like yesterday will possible pop-up showers. We are already into a summertime pattern here which does not bode well for what is to come. Looks like we are in for a very hot summer. I'm thinking about giving Ruby a coat of Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0. I want to hang some pics in the Rabbit's room (yes, she has her own bedroom, that rotten rabbit) that came out of my old office & have been sitting out in the shed since the office move. Later I will probably drive up to Clarksville to see my dad. Not sure what else, but I'm sure I'll think of something that needs doing. Have a good day.

Here is the link to pics from last evening's cruise-in. For some reason Mike wanted to be in charge of the camera last night. That won't happen again. He did not take many pics & almost none of our cars. Anyway, it was a nice evening. Raining again here. Guess I'll head out to the garage & see what I can get into out there.

Rain messed up productivity for the morning. so we decided to make today a day for visits. Went to see my dad. He was physically well but had great difficulty formulating a sentence. It is so hard to know how to pass the time with him. You hesitate to say anything because you know he will try to respond not be able to say anything that makes any sense. He tried hard to comment on the show that was on TV. A few times he managed to put together a sentence you could understand, but the rest of his utterances were completely without any structure or subject. Not only could he not find an word he was needing, he could not hold the thought he was trying to formulate, in his mind long enough to say it. So sentences became just strange, rambling, uncomfortable, strings of unrelated words. It is so odd that one day he can seem pretty normal & another so scattered. Mike wondered if it had to do with the time of day we visited and timing of his meds, but who knows.
Then we visited Mike's parents for a little while. They continue to get more & more feeble each time we see them too. Then back home & spent time just enjoying our yard & deck & Mike cooked chicken fajitas. There was a nice sunset. Now a little TV & time with Ruby Too. Here are a few pics.
