Well, they got caught paying a high school coach 6-figures to steer Albert Means to Bama. The coach faced criminal charges, and Bama narrowly avoided the 'Death Penalty'. While still on probation for that incident, they got caught allowing scholarship athletes to improperly obtain free use of textbooks for friends. Their probation ends in June of 2012.

They were also forced to vacate 21 wins under Shula and Saban. Alabama's official 2005 record is 0-2. Their program is a disgrace.

Actually, they are currently on NCAA probation. They are off probation in June 2012, unless they get caught cheating yet again.

So how much of this is contributed to Saban? I have not heard he was involved. If not, then I would say their program is back on track.

Idc. At this point I'd rather have the Champion be a team that could beat Florida than a team who should have lost to Nebraska
