x 1000. There is a whole ZL1 forum. Of course a thread on the ZL1 is going to stay in the ZL1 forum.

That's like saying GM can't put more power down with the ZL1 with a shorter pulley and some internal reinforcement. Of course they can, and will I think.

So clearly the ZL1 is more sophisticated, but the GT500 is plenty able to over come the break fade element, and individuals are addressing it already making consistent laps with little break fade. Erik
GT500 = better car in performance, harsher ride, less consistent, for pros/really good drivers this car will give them the best results.

ZL1 = close second in terms of performance, much better ride, much more consistent, for 95% of people out there this car will give them the best results.

Don't know why my buddies on the forum can't get their mind around that. Give where it's due.

It is "brake"....not "break".

No offense intended.
The grammar and spelling errors on this forum are just everywhere. It's like the red squiggly line means nothing! LOL

Wrong. Perhaps you weren't around a couple of months ago, but when only 1/4 mile times were being posted, any wiff of "The ZL1 isn't cutting it" speak was quickly banished or outright deleted.

respectfully disagree, on the track with lets say a typical half hour session, you would have hands down the best results in the camaro including pros to.

IMVHO

ZL1 = better car
GT500 = better beast

Mmmmmmm, you know better than that... that's not why posts were deleted or threads were closed...

Not true. I said the GT500 would be faster in the 1/4th mile. Of course I was bashed, but what do you expect from a CAMARO forum.

I've never seen anybody banned or any posts deleted, unless they were argumentative or disrespectful.

Like I said before, I think the GT500 is the faster car, and I've yet to have any of my posts ever deleted. Believe it or not, if you speak in a manner that is not offensive, you are indeed allowed to have differing opinions.

I can agree with you, but only on consistency. The absolute one time lap best time will go to the GT500. When you are trying to get a time for around the lap, all that most people care about is your best time, not your average.

not very often that it happens

Haha cheers man, no need for hostility right?; these cars-the Camaro's, vette's, mustangs, vipers, etc from the last year or so, are so capable and awesome that it's simply an amazing time to be an American car guy.

When $30k American pony cars can hang with m3's and $50k ones can be seen fit enough to get pitted against gtr's that are $40k more, it's a great time to be an american car guy.

Hell, there's a certain corvette z06 that just shut down a 2012 gtr on willow... That was an awesome competition last month. Great time to buy American.

There's also a viper acr that ran damn near 6:59.99 minutes on the ring! The new srt viper will be a rocket, can't wait.

A camaro ran 7:40's at the ring and a stang goes 202 these days. Pretty fckn bad ass.

(lots of Euro and Japanese cars are great too but they don't pluck at my fun/affordable strings the same way, love me some pagani's but... $$$$ :^()

Like I said, "I have never been to a one lap race". If you want to use a hero lap at the ring to pick your purchase, go ahead. I usually spend a least half a day at the track....when running my car. All weekend when we're racing.

Lots of posts have been deleted stating facts that didn't paint the ZL1 in a colorful light.
