SGM car must have been before my time.

Have fun at the parade Zandron. There is one here in Sedona too, but we will be on the road to Jerome by then.

Yes, looking good Jan. Don't know why my comment is in Skip ' s quote.

I had planned to shoot some nice starlight photos last night as the sky gets very dark here at night. But the near full moon washes out the dimmer stars. I'll have to try again some other time. But I did shoot some practice photos. If they turn out, I'll post them up.

BTW, WIFI at this place sucks!

Got the truck ready for decorating. I did cheat by taking it to the car wash then just some quick clean up with detail spray in the driveway. I had to work in small sections as it was turning to ice rather quickly. Name: uploadfromtaptalk1394985593019.jpg

Nice. Would have gone over and taken a look if I had known you went to Suburban. Did you glance at the two blue Vets?

Good evening guys & gals. This will be one of the last times I will be posting from my old laptop. The new one is home, has had most needed programs loaded by a geek squad guy before we left the store. It is now charging & loading a few updates. Then I have the task of learnng to use it & transferring files from this one to it or to a thumb drive. I definately have mixed feelings about all this. This computer has been sitting on my lap much of the time for several years now. It has become a major pain in the butt as it has aged & constantly a worry of crashing................ again (I lost a lot last time). That part I will not miss at all. But I am no geek. It will be a pretty big learning curve for me. The geek squad guy showed us a lot, we have the book we bought & tutorial videos we can watch but those won't be the quick answer I need when I try to do someting & find.....................I have no clue how.

I resist learning new technology. I have a fancy wall mounted monitor in my new office that I can use to show video clips to clients or review with them their care plans or lots of things. I have never even turned it on to try to learn how to use it. I will eventually.

Time and technoligy continue to march on and drag us along with it whether we like it or not.

Here is a pic of the new computer:

Good luck with the new laptop Janice. I have used Windows 8 a few times and I find it frustrating on a non touch screen device. But after an hour or so I was able to navigate around it without wanting to chuck it across the room. It will be a big change from XP but I am sure you can get used to it. I find google to be very useful when wanting to know how to do something in an OS or software package I am not familiar with. Be patient and don't give up and you will get good with it in no time. I hated touch screen keypads when I started using them but I forced myself to practice and now they are not so bad for me to use.

I'm on the new computer now and I am not doing too badly. The only thing I can't figure out is the same thing that was a problem on my old computer. I am the administrator of our club email which is a gmail account. My email is a yahoo/att address. That is the one we used to set up the computer. Every time I try to go to the club email, it wants me to make it the primary account which I do not want to do. I don't want that massive email address book mixed up with mine at all. On the old computer I had to have 3 different browsers & I only used the google browser for the club email. That apparently won't work on this one. I will need a geek to help me figure out this one.

Windows 8 reminds me of a smart phone screen.

Gonna post up some photos. Not happy with what Photoshop 8 did to the blue skies, but I saved the original photo files. Some are really nice, some I am not happy with.

The Chapel of the Holy Cross

Up on the chapel grounds looking north

One of the neighborhoods below

Looking northwest

Looking south

Standing at the front door. I typically do not like taking scenery shots with people in them, but I decided to shoot this anyway.

Parking lot and neighborhood below

First attempt at starlight photos. Not happy with this one, but I gotta start somewhere.

This one is not so bad

At Jerome, looking northwest at the San Francisco Peaks. They are about 100 miles away.

With Douglas Mansion in the foreground.

Felt like shooting artsy style today. I'll get better. Gonna replace Photoshop 8 with Lightroom.

Very cool pics Rick! Good Monday morning. My body is still not kiling this daylight saving time. It is very cold with freezing drizzle here & there this morning. It is supposed to warm up some though. I need to figure out how to move the rest of my pictures & other files to a thumb drive. There has to be an easy way to do it instead of one at a time. I found a way to move all my pics to the CD writer all at once but not to the thumb drive. Sometimes I wish I was not such a computer dummy but then that would take more reading & learning than I care to do. I admit to being lazy when it comes to learning technology. Better get myself in gear & get to work. HAGD all.

Nice pics! Did ya get in a little gold panning, or checkout any mines?

Beautiful pictures, as always! Guess the hotel driving you nuts is the WiFi?

We are going to be in the Buffalo St Patrick's day parade today with our Dachshund club. It's going to be sunny but really cold in the teens. I want to back out but I already committed to bring my truck as the "Wiener Wagon" and to use it for those that may not be able to walk the whole route with the little legs of the dogs. I also fit as many as I can in it to take people back to the beginning of the route where most people leave their cars.
Have fun at the parade. Hope weather is better there..............rainy and cool here..............

Ugghh, hate my Windows 8, but now that you are learning, time for me to do the same................
