Hope you enjoyed your Vega as well as I enjoyed my 74 Vega GT (built in Canada) after the service. This is similar to the one I had. The memories!

I bought a used, that looked like it just came from the factory, 1976 Vega in 1978 when we were stationed at McConnell AFB, KS. It was to teach my wife how to drive a "4-Speed Standard" and have a second car that was economical. Teaching your wife to drive a "standard" in a Mall parking lot, with 5 year old and a 2 and a half year old in the back seat making "I'm scared" sounds as we jerked through the gears, was an experience to remember (or forget?). Long story short, the Vega became "my" drive-to-work car for 2 years until we got orders to Clark AB, Philippines and I sold it to a guy in Radar Maintenance for exactly what I paid for it!! It was actually a fun driver!!

Spent a little of my OT money today on new phones for me and my wife. My phone was working but it was 3 years old so it was getting slow. My wife's was newer than mine but was so slow it was almost unusable. I got a Samsung Galaxy S4 and she got a Samsung Note 3. I must say we both like them a lot so far.

Oh the joys of replacing aging electronics! Glad you are pleased with your choices Zandron. My new computer is in so we will go pick it up tomorrow. Mike bought me a book to help with learning Windows 8.1 & I watched part of a tutorial video at work last week but got interrupted & had to stop.

Today I went to my cousin's daughter's wedding shower. Saw some family I don't get to see much anymore. I actually found one dress that was only a little too big & wore it. It was in the low 70's. Very nice. Got home & gave Ruby a detailing & cut down my "snake grass" as my mother called it (tall ornamental varigated grass, not sure of the actual variety). It originated with a batch of the same grass from my maternal grandmother's house along with the Lilac bush and Rose of Sharon bush in my yard. The Rose of Sharon died last year but I am hoping some new shoots come up from it.

My suspension parts & headers are in the garage awaiting the release of the LLT dyno tune from HP later this month. I can't wait!
Here are some pics from the day's activities:

My Vega was a great little car! It was originally red with no stripes, but I thought Corvette Yellow would be safer. People stopped running into it, until my brother in law bought it. I ended up sourcing an upgraded interior and 4 speed set up for this car.

Looks great Skip. This is your 3rd 5th gen since I've known you.

This hotel IS is driving me nuts. I may have attached 2 photos of the place we are staying at and a moon shot.

Looking good Janice. If my memory serves me correctly I think this is Skips 4th 5th gen. He had an SGM V6, a black SS, the yellow V6 convertible, now the 1le. Congratulations on the new one it looks good.

We are going to be in the Buffalo St Patrick's day parade today with our Dachshund club. It's going to be sunny but really cold in the teens. I want to back out but I already committed to bring my truck as the "Wiener Wagon" and to use it for those that may not be able to walk the whole route with the little legs of the dogs. I also fit as many as I can in it to take people back to the beginning of the route where most people leave their cars.
