Yikes, it looks COLD in Massachusetts! It's gonna be really cold here overnight tomorrow!

No one mentioned hump day, but it's here and almost gone. Short work week with the MLK holiday for us government workers.
I know how you feel about having an ill family member half way across the country. Both my parents and my brother passed away while I was at least one state away. So here's your hump day mention (albeit one day late)...

Once you get to zero it does not really matter anymore. Below that it's just COLD and I agree with Skip you tolerate it but you can never get used to those temps.

We could actaully use some snow here in Utah. It has been so dry this winter and if it continues we could be hurting for water this summer. We are hoping for a wet February because the next ten days show no precip period. Not good! Hang in there gang, spring is coming!

We've been hurting for snowpack in the mountains here in northern Utah for quite a long time. Seems we're always hurting for water in the summer. I've started driving my Camaro again this winter, cause the roads have been dry for long enough that the salt from the snow removal is pretty much gone.

Home again, home again giggety gig. We're Baaaaaaaaaack. Ruby Too is very glad to be home. She was not a very happy camper in the mountains. She is a creature of habbit & does not like her routine messed with. But she would have also not have been happy to stay home in her room by herself with just a neighbor checking on on her a couple times a day. We did a whole lot of nothing which is fine, got just enough snow to be pretty & spent long relaxing times in the jacuzzi with lavendar bath salts, vanilla candles & glasses of wine every evening. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. So relaxing. But it is good to be home.

Here is one more pic of Smokey Mountain Alarm clocks:
