Good morning crew. Weather here is getting weird. Today it will hit 70 degrees then Th evening-Friday snow/sleet/freezing rain. Some counties may get an ice storm of 1 to 1 1/2 inches of ice. We are talking downed trees, power outages & nothing moves ice storm. Right now the ice storm is not predicted to hit my county but it is too close for comfort & these things can be difficult to predict. I will have to watch this close from work on Friday. I don't know how roads get cold enough for this to get as bad as predicted but they say it will. No way I can navigate some of the major hills between my ob & home if we get even a thin coat of ice. Yuck.

Okay on another subject. Honestly, I am still somewhat in watch & learn mode on this but.......
Okay crew, I have been invited to participate in the ground level of a new health supplement/food company. I am still learning about it but what I have heard so far sounds pretty good. Check it out & let me know what you think about it & if you might be interested in joining during the pre-launch phase. Right now there is no cost or obligation just learning more & if you like what you see, getting ready to be in on the ground level yourself. Watch a video here & if you want to learn more, join my team.
http://RubyCamaro.xseedhealth.com

At this point there is no risk & no cost so it can't hurt to join & watch this thing develop. There may be potential of some good $ earnings and great health benefits as well. Honestly the earnings are set up a bit like a pyramid scheme based on sales but they are not talking about investment. Let me know if you want more information. It never hurts keep your eyes out for opportunities & they are billing this as the greatest thing to hit the health food industry in years.

HAGD folks.

Our weather definitely has been "weird". Took advantage of what might be one of the last truly warm day of the year and washed the car this afternoon. Windy, but 75 degrees ... just ahead of the ice and nastiness coming our way.

I really would love for warm-ish weather Saturday to enjoy top down cruise up for the holiday gathering, but we will just hafta wait and see.

Side note for ya, Jan ... any chance of getting a small amount of the fudge without any nuts? (I am already far too nutty as I am!)

Cloudy all day here and it started drizzling tonight.

A buddy and I walked around downtown Baltimore City, NOT the inner harbor. Ate at a great place that had pretty good pomegranate margaritas. Makes me happy to see some areas of the city becoming popular (and safe) again!

Two more days until the weekend! There is an indoor car show this weekend near my office. Brought a point and shoot camera to take some photos.

I will try to pour you some in a small container but you will probably have to eat it with a spoon. For some bizzare reason it does not harden right without the nuts. I have tried to think of something non-nut to add instead (my son has made the same nutless fudge request) but everything I think of would either melt or get soggy.

I'm jealous. Ruby is still dirty from the Barkley Lodge cruise. I had to work then had my dance/exercize class today.

It was a rather sad day at work as we start to purge & throw away stuff we can't take to the new building. We are still grieving the loss of our Therapeutic Preschool program and all the other negative changes this move is going to involve.

Happy Wednesday Evening All.

Rick, it's probably close to 20 years since I was last in Baltimore and the Inner Harbor and National Aquarium were great. Have those areas fallen into disrepair?

It will be warmer in NYC tomorrow than here in the desert SW as we prepare for the coldest weather in 4 years in much of the state. Here in the LV valley, we're prepping for a hard freeze and overnight lows in the 20s.

This may not sound like much people in the Northern tier states, but things here are not insulated like other parts of the country so we are wrapping pipes, covering plants and pool and spa pumps will be running to prevent water from freezing.

Hope everyone stays warm tonight wherever you are.

The inner harbor hasn't fallen into disrepair, but it is very tourist-ee there. Canton, Fells Point, and surrounding areas are on the upswing and are WAY more fun than the inner harbor. Once abandoned and dilapidated buildings are under renovations, and some neat restaurants and pubs are setting up shop!

Claire said it was VERY cold and windy in Phoenix, and there is a freeze warning in some areas tonight. I think it was warmer here in Maryland today, but that will change big time here on Saturday and Sunday.

I was born in Baltimore. My dad went up there to work at Bethlehem Steel to be able to afford for me to be born in a hospital. We did not stay long after I was born so I had no memories. I finally got to visit there a few years ago when I was a presenter at a national conference. It was a nice trip. I'd like to visit again someday.

Way past my bed time. Nighty night all.

Hey crew. It is raining cats & dogs here & temps are dropping like a rock. We started out in the upper 60's & will end up by early afternoon close to freezing. Most of my clients for tomorrow cancelled so I cancelled the other 2. No need in risking getting stuck in Nashville over 2 clients. Soooooooooooooo, Long weekend! Woooooo Hoooooo!

Hard rain much of the day, strong winds all day, drove home in the rain, some ligntning this evening & more rain, now it is closing in on the freezing point & the forcast seems to be worsening. I am sooooooooooooooooo glad I don't have to go in to work tomorrow. I can sleep in, do some cooking, write a few Christmas cards, I just piddle around and let the weather do as it wishes!

One more day to endure at work and I'm done for the week. Don't get me wrong, this has actually been a nice visit, but I want to go home.

Tried to exchange the Dart for a vehicle that would actually respond to accelerator input, found myself dealing with a VP. What a prick! You'd think these were all his cars. Plus he hold me he had no cars to exchange. Guess he thinks I'm stupid as I count all the pool vehicles in the pool vehicle parking spots that I drive by every day. In the past, I would help the previous pool car manager with repairs, etc.... on my OWN time. This unpleasant person can kiss my peon butt!

Got a headache tonight, so I'll probably turn in early tonight. Tomorrow night and Saturday night I will be judging show cars at the East Coast Nationals, so I will try to post up some photos.

Have a good Friday gang! The weekend is almost here.

No worries here. If you have tried before with no luck, don't waste any of the good stuff! I looked to see if there was something that could be added to fudge to help getting it to stand up, but apparently it is a tricky art of getting near precise heat and mix... did not realize how complex it can be!

And yeah - mine was still a mess from Barkley Lodge as well ... plus another drive or two in the rain and after-mess. Now it is all clean, and likely gonna be a mess for a few days at least - Bleah!

If weather doesn't cancel the holiday party tomorrow, it does NOT look to be a top down day ... cloudy, low-mid 30's, and possibly rain/freezing rain/icy. (but I really want to drive the Camaro!)

I had a nice & productive day off, but I am more tired that if I had gone in to work. We got enough freezing ran to coat the trees but roads are not bad & no power outages so it is all good. I made 2 batches of Brown Sugar Maple Walnut Fudge, 2 cheese logs & my layered salad for the Camaro club party. I only had 2 problems during my cooking. Fudge can be soooooo temperamental! My second batch bubbled over. I have not had that happen in years. So I had a mess to clean up & had to do it in a hurry so I could finish the batch without it gettng messed up. But I got it done & disaster averted. Then I got in the middle of making the salad & Mike had only bought 1 green pepper. So I had to put everything away, shower, dress & go to the store. I got it all done though. See? Now the weather better not mess up our party!

Good Morning gang. Everyone must be busy. Me too but ust feel the need to check in at least while I eat my breatfast & before I turn in. I am surprisingly notas tired as I expected this morning. It looks like the party will be okay as long as we get our butts home before 9:00. I bet our hostess will not cry about that insurance against someone out-staying their welcome. LOL

It is cold & very windy but dry today. I hope everyone is safe & warm. HAGD
