I guess we are just at a difference of opinion.

I guess we're on different pages. I blame the defense because they put us in a very tough spot. Our offensive plan for that game wasn't designed to be high scoring.... because of last year's game I, along with everyone there, expected a low scoring game.

Is our defense the sole reason we lost that game? No, of course not. But they dug a hole that our offense couldn't dig out of.
