Curious what you disliked about your GS2. I've had one since launch day and its still going strong and I like it. My co-worker also still has one and doesn't have much issue with it.

The size of the phone is perfect for me. GS3 is a bit bigger than I'd like, and the new GS4 is way too big.

Any of the temporary issues I have had with it was because of the Samsung updates and overlays over the base OS from Google.

If you don't like Android, you'll HATE iOS7. Blatant copy, albeit with features Android has had for over 2 years now.

Apple is, and always will be, one of the most scummy companies in the U.S. Why anybody would support them is beyond me.

I personally owned an iphone 3gs as my first smartphone and completely hated it. I honestly didn't like it until I jailbroke it. Because at that point I was booting android anyway. After that, I bought my current galaxy s3 and man this is the best phone I've ever owned. It's amazing. It'll destroy the iphone, it's screen is so nice, the camera is absolutely stunning, and the phone is so fast. Not to mention the fact that it does so much more than apple and doesn't restrict you from so many things. Not bashing apple, I will admit their products are really nice and sleek but the galaxy for me is not even in the same league. I even have a friend right now with an iphone 5 that can't do as much as my phone can.

I have the iPhone 5 and I really don't enjoy it. I'm thinking about switching to the new galaxy phone.

You're completely right. ios7 is just a big copy of android

The swipe up from the bottom to toggle wifi and bluetooth, the lockscreen that has nothing on it, the control panel for music, the multitasking feature. Congratulations Apple, once again you're only 3 years behind

No techy here but I had an Iphone 4S and liked it quite a bit. I now have a Galaxy S4 and like it quite a bit better. But....I'm one that likes the bigger size of it. I like the bigger screen. It's also quite a bit lighter than the Iphone. Camera is much better. Seems that overall I can do more with the S4 than I could with the 4S.

well, for one, the battery life really sucks. I know most smartphones' batteries are crap, but the S2 was below crap. lol And that was right out of the box.

And at the time, I wasn't allowed to have my phone with me at work, the front desk had cubby holes to put your phone, so I turned it on and off at least once a day, at the end of the day, I would turn it on, and none of my apps would show up. so I would have to shut it down and restart it. sometimes I could clear the RAM, and they would show up, and sometimes that wouldn't work either. This started happening a few weeks after I had the phone.

When I would text someone, all of a sudden, it would stop texting. I would have to close that text session, open a text to someone else, start typing, erase it, go back to the original person i'm texting, and it would work again.

after about a year of owning the phone, the battery would drain down to about 53% and then shut off. I would turn the phone back on, and the battery life would show in the 20% range, then shut off again, and then I wouldn't be able to turn it on at all. basically, it was a wireless phone that had to be wired 24/7.

sure, the screen was beautiful. that's about it.

That's how I think about Apple and Android. Apple would rather be the thinnest or shiniest, while Android just plain works.

I never said you will be spending the same thing I said around the same thing. My 15 Inch cost me 1,600 and has a 2.0 Ghz i7 Quad core with a 512 MB Nivida graphics and the 3000 integrated graphics (Dynamic Switching), 500 GB SSD and 4Gb of DDR3 Ram. When I was looking at windows laptops to have something comparable with more ram (usually in the 12-16 DDR2 Category) it was around 1,200 from HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, and Dell. And they all were made from crappy plastic unlike the Mac being a complete Aluminium Frame and body

The original reason why I got a Mac Book was because I was planning to be a graphic design major but since then my plans have changed and I am now in the IT and In all honestly everything Mac is a nightmare to work with. Completely locked down and uses some of the most unefficient forms of technology for a large volume RAID. That is why I say I will most likely not purchase a Mac Book again just something like the Mac Mini which is somewhat cheap (Still overpriced for its specs) to continue to stay up to date to see the changes they make in case I ever need to service one for a user.

Samsung Series 7. All aluminum. Better specs, 40% cheaper. Not really "almost" the same when you're talking 1/3+ more expensive.

Don't do that. The Galaxy line is the iPhone of Android.

The HTC One is the best phone you can buy right now and it's really not even close. Or you can wait for the Xperia Z or c670x.

Unless you're stuck on crappy VZW (like me), which hates their customers and does not offer good phones ever. September I'm giving them the finger and saying hello to T-Mobile. Faster speeds, great coverage in my area, WAY cheaper, and GSM phone selection. Win-win-win-win.

I will say the battery life on my S3 isn't that great. Luckily I can charge it just about any time of day I need to.
