Evening crew. Slow day at work. Most clients cancelled. Got a lot of due paperwork done & on-line trainings completed instead. Good to get that stuff done but productivity is going to suck this month. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. I need my bonus.

At least I don't have any "homework" tonight.

I did not even notice my address in the picture. Oh well I am listed in the phone book anyway so it's not like I could not be found if someone was looking for me.

Need a favor... jokingly, kinda

Please send anti-Murphy's Law thoughts my way... Leaving for Dallas for the new job tomorrow AM & driving down in the SS. Family stays behind for three months packing and letting school play out...

Short Version: It's been one heck of a couple weeks. first the daughters car needed a timing belt....fun. Then it needed a new PCM computer, installed it and the thing threw a bunch of new codes, changed some sensors only to have it run good for short periods and take a dump again, change the crank sensor again and it took a dump again after one drive, took it to the dealer and they say I have to use OEM parts... fine (that’s the short version).

Then the same daughter’s long time boyfriend wants me to help change his plugs... was not an easy job but that went smooth... but then the next day his thermostat takes a dump, thermostat is under the car and the wife in her efforts to downsize our stuff sold my old floor jack, so I go buy a cheap jack at Harbor Freight, okay so that is still playing out.

So then this past weekend we sell one of my boats to a good friend and upon moving the truck to swap out boats I find that I have a rear axle seal leak... great... take it to the dealer to get new seals, now I need brakes too... there goes 1200 more bucks...

Geeze what's next.. Wake up this morning (note wife and I sit in the garage to smoke, drink coffee and we keep our PC’s out there as well) Well first thing this morning at 04:30 the darn door knob is broken, no key to the outside door and the remotes do not work… and the door knob is really broken, spring hinges not easy to drop off... lock is busted to the point I had to tear it apart down to nothing to get the door open... That woke me up.

So I am going to go get an alarm installed on the SS today, pack up and load the car and head to Dallas… Need some good vibes sent our way…

Just thought I would show how well things are going for all you guys...

See you in the funnies

John
Maybe that was the last of the bad luck???

Sending good thoughts your way beebumble.

Hope you get to go to the World Series Zandron.

I finished these today. Hands still hurt and my left knee has a blister. I don't remember detailing a car being so harmful.

Just so I am not so uniformed how do you phonetically pronounce your handle?
Thank you Mid Life con Vert, actually, my car is named for the song "Iko Iko" which I sang as a little girl and it is pronounced phonetically "eye-coe eye-coe."

The Cavalier is now legal! It passed the smog test, so we were able to register it, also got the title, all for $35.75!

Now it needs a good cleaning and detailing which I will get to next week. So far, we paid for a missing hub cap, wiper blades, air filter, smog test, and the MVD administrative stuff.

It is really a nice little "cheap" car!
Thank you 69supersport396, and I've always been fond of Cavaliers. Those are sweet rides.
