It must be chilling to the bone to hear something like that when you know it is bad news. God bless indeed. Take care of yourself.

Dang Skip, sorry you have to have surgery. Hopefully it is just a little fatty tissue. (tough way to get a tummy tuck though ) Prayers a' comin'! Recover quickly.

Good evening crew. I got to leave work a little early today & took Ruby to get her oil changed. Then sat outside in front of her listening to music in the most perfect weather imaginable, 74 degrees, a few white puffy clouds in a beautiful blue sky.................................In August in Tennessee. Weird, but nice! Supposed to rain some more this weekend.

Hey all. I was doing the morning internet browse and found out that Honda is trying to save some of our nation's drive ins. http://projectdrivein.com/

I remember going to the drive ins with my family as a kid, and going with my friends as a teen and young adult. Great times and memories. Even if we did get some rain in the car from the speaker occasionally, LOL.

I know this is from Honda, but I thought it was a great idea and wanted to share.

Hey Cooley! Yeah, that has been on our local news too. We have had Camaro club cruises to our local drive-ins. I hate that the movie industry is forcing them to go digital. They could afford to continue to produce film for the drive-ins. It is a part of the industry's and all of our history that should be presreved not forced out. The shame is we can all vote for our local drive-ins and help them win this help from Honda, but there will still be many that have managed to fight this long to survive but will now go dark.

Good morning crew. Mike says it stormed here last night but I did not hear a thing. Must have been sleeping like a rock. More scattered showers expected today but teh rest of hte day should be pleasant. I have to keep reminding myself over 7 over that it is August. It is just really weird. It should be in the upper 90's to 100 & mostly dry not in the 70's to 80's & very rainy. Strange, strange summer we are having.

Not much on tap for today. Just hanging out around the house. I might give Ruby a coat of spray wax. Maybe find a cruise-in somewhere this evening. Have a great saturday everyone.

Welcome Cooley, Thanks for posting the vid about Drive-ins. Drive In Movies and Drive In Restaurants, a la A&W Root Beer Stands, are a piece of Americana that is vanishing in front of our eyes.

I don't know how frequently the OF thread is visited by people under 40, so you may want to consider creating a separate thread in the Off-Topics Section to reach a wider audience. Its a good message that merits repeating.

Have a great day all!

So just a quiet evening at home.

Skip I hope you have a speedy recovery. The weather here is just spectacular sunny and 80. I went out to dinner last night with some current and former co-workers it was a lot of fun. Took the Camaro and had 2 people tell me what a beautiful car we have. Got 2 more compliments today when I was out running errands seems like every time I drive it someone notices it kinda makes you feel like a celebrity LOL.

Tomorrow my wife and I are going golfing with some friends of hers at work. I want to take the Camaro but I don't know if I can fit the clubs in with the top down. Diane don't tell me Georgia is in the 60's now I will be there in a week and I need some sunny warm weather for my vacation. Maybe I will just bring some nice NY weather with me. Have a good weekend all.

I had a chance to talk to Scott Settlemire at C5fest and asked about all the dislike for the 2014 tail lights. He pointed out WAY back when the first Camaro Gen5's were shown, Lots of comments were made they look to much like Corvette's from the back. He then pointed out the new 2014 tail lights can be sold in Europe and Abroad. This save's money not having to make two different production rear bumpers. This saving's can be used in Research and Development. Like finding ways to make the Camaro lighter. It all made sense and made my dislike seem small, actually kind of selfish. Well Just my 2cents worth

Good morning crew. Headed out today to see Mike's Parents. His brother is grilling huge steaks for their mom's Birthday. I might actually get to swim in their pool. It has been so rainy this year I have not had a chance to at all this year. Then a visit with my dad. Have a good Sunday everyone.

I've got a bad feeling about this one and I hope it's not another CFIT accident that just shouldn't have happened. I suspect our Division will be talking with the NTSB some time over the next year on this one....

I'm BACK!!!!
Finally got insurance checks and got my new computer. Setting it up was a bit of a hassle, the help desk guy from my ISP was an IDIOT. Sometimes I hate technology...
Finally have new doors for the house on order, that was a royal pain in the ass too. You would think that a door that is required by building code for the county wouldn't have to be special ordered. A friend is installing them for me on Friday, I will finally get a good night's rest knowing I can lock my doors!! (I have been setting my alarm, and another friend left her .380 in my nightstand drawer for me, so I am fine, not to worry...)
Went to the Seahawks game last night with one of my local Camaro sistas, what a great game - scores by offense, defense, and special teams!! YAY!!! While it was a great time, I had a weird experience... When the hawk flew out of the tunnel, and the music was playing, and the team started to take the field, I cried.... It hit me that going to football games was the one thing in my marriage that was consistently good... I think those were the first tears I had shed during this whole mess. I have been so relieved by getting rid of all the bad, that I hadn't stopped to think of any of the good things I was losing as well... That wave of emotion really caught me off guard.

I'm going to try to go back and get caught up on all of the happenings, see how all of you have been doing, etc...
So glad to be back in touch, I've missed all of my Ol' farts!!!
