Just ask the Nissan GT-R... supercar killer for around the same price as the new z06 Vette.

Well... not anymore, over the most recent 1-2 years they've been jacking up the price significantly.

But don't let that deter you from it's prime days a few years back when it was like 70-90k to get a GT-R that kept up with Lambo's....
Yeah a 25k increase in price and no improvement in performance smh

I liked my V6. Most people didn't even know it wasn't a V8. Not that I really cared. Actually there was one instance a rather unattractive woman asked if it was my Camaro. I said yes and she said she loved Camaro's and could she have a ride. I said it's not a real Camaro it's a V6. She said oh nevermind. LOL my brothers were there with me laughing their asses off.

Car and Driver Magazine....................

We've run a six cylinder Camaro at 5.1 seconds from 0-60.
Only a second or so slower to that mark than the Camaro SS with its stonking 455 hp 6.2 liter V-8.
How often while driving one of them would you regret not having purchased the V-8? The answer is not very often.

In 10 to 15 years when the V8 gone reserved for only ultra high end performance and luxury vehicles, the V6 guys will be picking on the 4 banger guys or turbo guys will be running down non turbo guys. For me , Ill be done with all of it.

wouldnt be awful surprised to see a midengine 6 cylinder vette with twin turbos in 10 years or so.remember, you heard it here first.the coming EPA mileage requirements are going to be even harder to meet than the current ones.

As long as you don't get the base model you are fine. Enjoy the car wether it's v6 or v8..

Now if you got the base model... well... unless you plan on making it look more visually apealing then okay!

Just a WAG on my part, but I'll bet there will be more than a few Camaro/Corvette buyers who would be willing to pay a gas guzzler tax.

The ZL1 has had one since it was introduced.

But the GT-R has "Active Sound Enhancement" like the V6 BMW's do. If you need to run fake sound through the speaker system to get it to sound good isn't that telling you something? That's just downright pathetic.

The extra torque makes all the difference. Not to mention the sound.
