Of course, Ladybug passed inspection, no problem. The guy who did it said "This is a beautiful car, I can't believe you're going to race it" Why does everyone keep saying that???
'Cause they don't want to see one teeny weeny little scratch on that beautiful car.
(Lightning would cry!)

I'm really happy it's Friday. Cramming 5 days' work into 4 is so hard, throw in all of our computer problems this week, and I'm exhausted.
I'm looking forward to my track day - excited and nervous all at once! I was talking to the guy who did the inspection on Ladybug, and he suggested that I keep the instructor with me the whole day, even though the class only requires a minimum of 2 laps with the instructor. He said I'll learn a lot more that way, and it's another safety measure. I think I'll follow his advice!

I don't know if anyone has heard this in the news, the story about a dad putting a baby in the freezer to try to get her to stop crying....

http://www.komonews.com/news/local/1...209335381.html

I found out that it's my friend's granddaughter. Please keep her in your prayers!!

Thoughts and prayers are with her. WT blank is wrong with some people.
Sorry Jay no posting pics from the crewroom computers. Still can't figure out how C5 gets through the filter here. Most other MBs of same type are blocked. Home in the AM. Everyone out there have a great weekend.

I finally found a dashcam capable of looping, took a screenshot of a bird right before it hit me. Two birds were flying right to left across my bow, the cam is so clear and fast you can see individual feathers
Here's the vid to show actual speed

Okay lots of pics to post so I'll start with how my daughter managed to enjoy her moment of saying to me "I found you in an antique store". I guess I am officially in hte right place in this thread huh? LOL It was a Yearbook from Austin Peay State University from my fresman year. The year right after I graduated HS. I was in ROTC and on the drill team. Our drill team won a competetion and were honored to serve as the state's official Bicentenial Color guard. I even helped make the historically correct uniforms. I did not have one of these annual books. Here is what she found:

That is awful about the baby LBM. No matter how many cases like that I deal with it never has less impact. You just don't get numbed to this stuff if you are alive. Prayers for them for sure.

Twisty that video is really clear. Poor birdy.

Congrats Twisty.
And yeah, you guys stay safe.

Well I'm out of the shelter after 2 hours in that box with my wife and daughter. They just couldn't be certain of the direction of the tornado as it kept wobbling and others were forming all around us. Waited as long as I could before going in and I swear I could hear the one that came from El Reno going along I-40 (I live just a mile South), even over the sirens. Several observations while sitting down there: 1. Need to figure out out to get some AC in there. 2. Need for figure out how to set up a big screen TV in there with cable (reception on our small portable was not good). 3. Last, need a mini-bar in there after all this excitement, we all needed a drink!!
I just don't want to think about this tornado stuff any more. Out of the 16 years total I've lived here, this past month has been the toughest of all. It's to early to know all the devastation. I just hope it's less than they are anticipating....
