I know it may be little consolation but your father was a hero. My dad was there also (4th Marine Division). I grew up with this image in my home and in my heart.
That is a great picture with the car!

Thanks!! I didn't think it would make such a big difference, but I guess the plastic was starting to look shabby after almost 4 years....

Looking good. :photo:

Okay so we built a garage to keep our Camaros in so they would be protected from the elements and from things like bird droppings. Today I walked out to the garage with Mike to see the new torque wrenches he bought. What do I find? Bird poop on my nice clean Ruby. Now just how does that happen? Then we saw another plop of pird poo in front of Mike's Camaro. (nice that the bird missed his car huh?) I went up in the attic space.........no signs of a bird or any hint of a way one could have gotten in. We walked all around the outside of the garage & saw no way one. could have gotten in. I can only hope it flew in the day I washed my car while I was parking & flew out again today while the garage door was open again.

Looks great LBM!

Maybe the bird flew into the garage while you guys weren't looking.

Thank you. My father, John E. Carson, from Columbus Ohio, was also in the 4th.
He was killed attacking airfield #2 on Feb 23.
This memorial is about 10 miles West of Hartford Ct. and is worth visit if you can.

Good morning crew. Chilly morning but it is supposed to warm up nicely. We are going to build a gate for the deck so RubyToo can come out there with us. We also plan to put some of the mods on Daddy's Girl. Mike is too "by the book" to put on the ones that use 3M tape as it won't quite make it to 80 degrees. Probably a bit of yard work & if we have time we may build a portable enclosure so RubyToo can come out in the yard. I might even put a coat of quick wax on Ruby. It will feel good to get outside & burn a few calories. I hope everyone has some nice weekend plans. Enjoy!

Good morning it's cold here with off and on snow flurries. Not supposed to get out of the 30's all week. Today I will do some house cleaning and install a new kitchen faucet we bought. Tomorrow is the St Patrick's day parade and we will be marching with the dogs in our Dachshund club.

I will have to check our decorations for my truck "The Wiener Wagon" and pick up some more if anything is in rough shape. It's going to be cold but dry according to the weatherman so we will have to dress warm and make sure the dogs have their warm jackets on.

Geez everyone must have had a busy day. Hope it was good. I did a lot of yard work, waxed Ruby, took her for a little cruise & filled up her tank & then did some work for the Camaro Club. I guess that is enough for today. I bet I will feel this tomorrow, but it felt good to be outside & getting some things done. Sweet dreams!

Good morning. Well our one day of 78 degrees is history now. The day ended with a lot of wind blowing in cooler temps. High is only supposed to be in the upper 50's today. Spring just can't make up it's mind if it is ready to stay. The whole week this week is supposed to be mornings in the 30's & highs in the 50's. Today we will visit my dad & get some groceries. Not sure what else we will get into. Hope everyone has a great Sunday. Happy St Patrick's day.

Happy St Patrick's Day.

It was in the 90' here yesterday, did quite a bit of cruising in the Chevelle yesterday. Had a great time. In the 80s today, perfect for top down cruising.

Whacky Weather!

The past two Wednesdays and Fridays, I have been working on a couple Habitat for Humanity houses. The Wednesdays have been quite chilly with the Fridays being a bit nicer (or eventually getting that way). This past Friday made me glad that I had lived up North for a bit prior to this relo as I still had a can of spray de-icer to knock the roughly 1/8" of ice off the windshield and help me "break into" my SUV. The day warmed up and we got a lot more done on the house than I thought we were gonna get done.

Dedication for the house was Saturday, though we still have some things left to finish up Wed. of this week.

I had always talked about wanting to help with H.F.H. but never got around to taking the time to do so. Being unemployed has some advantages, including having time available and not making up excuses and getting out there to get stuff done!
