Any of ya got exhaust cutouts? Asking here to get honest opinions. Just don't want to get any "oh shoulda got a v8" slaps from those children with v8s.
So do they sound all that crappy? Or are they actually worth something.

Exhaust rasp conditions are caused by a number of factors. You could also ask this question of people with a muffler delete. IMO cutouts and muffler deletes sound bad ass at idle. But you risk the rasp when you hammer on it. From what I've seen, rasp is worse when the throttle is WFO and the vehicle is isn't moving (burnout, hard launch).

IMHO cut outs don't sound that good on a V6. I think some have them & like them though.

no experience with them on the v6, but they seem to help the v8's with performance. would be nice to see someone with a v6 and cutouts get a dyno done.

I only know what my car sounds like without mufflers. it's deep at idle and then when you hit the gas peddal it sounds like an indy car. I thought it was cool, but I'm sure some people would hate it. its all about personal taste.

I know at idle they sound awesome, under throttle not so sure. I might get them for just idle.
And I have seen some on the V8s dynoed and they lost around 30hp (believe they were FI as well though) Also got my PM for the Throttle Controller!!
