I read where they said the crash was due to a mechanical malfunction. Glad he was ok though.

^^^ Did they just forget to turn the wheel? Looks like they came out of a very mild turn at a reasonable speed (for the course) and just never turned the wheel.

I see, that would make sense based on what's in that video (or the driver was suddenly suicidal).

Pretty upsetting to see its out and won't get to run in the race but its fantastic that Jan was able to walk away from it under his own power. The crash happened because of debris that got into the throttle mechanism. Scary stuff.

There's a GM sanctioned stage kit for the second Gen 2.0T (Regal), but nothing for the most recent LTG (Gen3) engine.
